If they sent that for Guice that might have hurt his draft stock

frick that. The pro teams have scouts. It’s their job, not some guy who coached him in HS. The only way I’d complete that paperwork is if I got paid handsomely to do so.
Yeah seems pretty presumptuous to send people you don’t know a questionnaire like that.

Seems like a Giant waste of time.

If you are about to invest millions of dollars, or at least hundreds of thousands, into something would you not want to know everything you can about that investment

There is nothing in the questionnaire that is relevant or that NFL teams don’t already know.

Yea,who cares about helping a former player improve his draft stock

Nothing in that questionnaire will improve someone’s draft stock.

About the only thing that can happen is a HS coach fricks over a former player.

Now we know where the "Derrius Guice had bad work ethic in high school" talk came from.

You know nothing about the draft process.

The more info the merrier. Why not do this?

I think in a lot of cases it’s the high school coaches that get to know these players better than any other coach in their career. The player grew up in that area, they see them in the halls everyday, know their reputations among classmates and teachers, parents, etc. Essentially know the player and the person better than any other coach they will have.

They may not glean any new info, but it’s more data and an opportunity for any red flags to come up... or further stamps of approval.

It’s an in.

You should see the peewee form. “Was he the first player to grab snacks after a game? Did he dance after a TD? Did his parents make him cry when he fumbled?”

Agree, this is how it works. They are looking for any red flags or info that they can find from people that know them best.

BTW, if you read the top you will see that they send this to all prospects. I'm guessing they sent this letter to 300 different Hugh schools

And Burrow and Jefferson
