You kept saying it was his age that was his problem....

Guess we can put that to bed huh...... I think he will do decent there... Give him a couple years and they will be winning 8 games a year which is GREAT for Kansas............

It was his age.this will be the oldest p5 coach hired in a decade. You keep pointing things out with nothing to back it up. If age isnt the issue, show me this long list of 65 years old hired in the last decade.

I actually think there's a possibility that Kansas had a deal with Miles last year. They got 2 top 10 LA recruits out of nowhere.

Partly kidding, but who knows...

Won't you feel stupid if he starts winning there. This thread makes me want to pull for Miles more than ever and I've never really been a fan. People that talk shite about him are about as sad and pathetic as it gets.
And he will win there. Not championship level but he's going to win

Talk about revisionist history.

Most wanted Miles out, but respected him overall. No one thought he was going to land any gig he wanted.

But honestly, he was collecting millions per year to chill and play. It's not his fault LSU decided to pay him and a lesser HC at the same time.

So many on here, the ones that are Les fans, not LSU. They said he could get hired anywhere, but he had no interest in coaching. The truth is no one wanted him. The only team that was desperate enough to hire him is kansas, the worst team in college football over the past 5 years. Tough pill to swallow for the Miles lovers

The frick is this revisionist history?
You have it backwards.

It was the Les' haters on this board saying he didn't want to coach again. That he was just cashing an LSU check every month.

The rest of us knew he wanted to coach.
Get out of here with this...

I’ve heard too that he had been offered by schools but they wanted him for long contracts and he wants a more short term gig

Honestly though we’ll never know for sure and this is just a way for LSU fans to talk shite to each other

Why can't we have both?
He did deliver one of LSU's 3 NCs and still loves us after being canned.
Some of you act like Miles might steal back Ed's job.

That his age had nothing to do with it.

If age had nothing to do with it then im sure you can give me 5 coaches hired ,at Miles' age ,for the last decade

Never mind the fat man had them ranked #1 at one point.

Nope, #2. Then they lost to Missouri and, along with WVU, effectively let LSU and Les Miles get into the Championship game. Fat boy never won his own division, thanks to that loss.

Once he fails at Kansas

We'll see.

Previous 10 seasons at OSU pre Miles.

44-76-3 overall and 22-57-3 conference 3-7-1 vs in state rival

Kansas looks like this

31-100 overall and 10-84 conference 1-10 vs in state rival

A taller hill to climb, no doubt. Probably lower expectations as well.
