"drowning out their band" was actually what the MDB was told to do:
" concerning us playing while they played in the stands, our motto is to never let them have an uncontested stand tune. That is how we are able to contribute at away games by trying to cut down on their homefield advantage. There is nothing wrong with that, we are just trying to support our team, there is no taking turns. "

i didn't participate, but we sit in the south endzone opposite of the student section, and i'm not gonna lie, i laughed when the suck that tiger dick chant started, mainly because they did it on their own without the band. i also will fully admit i boo'ed bama's band. they're still alabama fans, frick 'em.

There is technically nothing wrong with it, but as someone who was in marching band in HS, it's tacky as shite and something that is generally frowned upon... Occasionally doing it is one thing, but every single damn time is just tacky.

It was stupid, and I did not partake. They also chanted "frick you Saban". He did ask for it though, before the game, he walked over to the student section and waved.

This. I disapprove of a band playing every time the other one does, just as much as I disapprove of booing a band just because they're doing their halftime show. There's not set and enforced rules on these, but it's just bad taste.

Of course you heard that. Some in the student section have no class. They still think it is cute to be profane. I love LSU to my core and hate the gumps with every fiber in me. I just don't think it does any good to curse at your opponent. I sit in the section next to the students. They couldn't wait to do the "f you saban" cheer. They were walking to their seats in glee passing the word to start the cheer. What are you going to do? Apparently being in college these days doesn't mean you are an adult, despite what the law says. So we move on...
