Those who attended the bama game

Curious what the entry was like to that game since POTUS attended.
I assume it took forever due to the extra security. What was it like getting in. Pat downs? Pocket checks?
Will I be able to get my bourbon in?

Wasn’t bad at all in Tuscaloosa but the CFP National Championship he attended in Atlanta was a huge cluster. Almost half the stadium missed kickoff.

Might have just been my section but we waited about 45 minutes to an hour. Got in just in time for the national anthem.

I was patted down, but my pal had to empty everything out of his wallet piece by piece. I watched and the SS treated people differently for whatever reason. We arrived 2 hours, 45 min early and it only took 20 minutes to get in. We were on the side the POTUS sat on which made it harder to approach the gates. The couple sitting next to us said it took them 1 hour to get in and they almost missed the kickoff. People were still coming in late in the 1stQ.

100% Metal detectors to get in. Took long time to get in. Bout same as getting on an airplane

I went about 45 minutes before kickoff and it took me. 5 minutes to get in. My son was in line about 20 minutes before and just made kickoff

Walked right in, close to kickoff, with a water bottle full of bourbon and wasn’t searched, other than the medal detector.
Superdome will be about the same. Medal detector, bags searched, possible container for pocket objects. Plastic bottles stuffed in waist will make it in.

Agreed. Just get in line 20 mins before you usually would to be safe. Saw tons of empty crown, bourbon and vodka bottles in stands at Bama after. No metal, no problem.
