Coach O loves Louisiana and Lsu with every piece of his soul! Facts
The only thing he did was made a couple of bad decisions/hires "Pelini" which on paper wasnt a bad hire. And getting caught cheating on his wife and bringing his bitches around the program!! And losing Joe Brady to the Panthers and making another bad hire. The bad hire and those bad decisions along with the covid year did him in. His love for Lsu can never be questioned! #GEAUXTIGERS

Does Joe Burrow ever step foot on LSU's campus without hiring Ed Orgeron?

Was he the head coach for the greatest college football/LSU team ever?

These things can be true and it can also be true that he completely fricked up the program afterwards. I appreciate the 2019 season, but that doesn't give Orgeron a lifetime pass for everything else.

Your whole 'if you hate Orgeron you hate yourself and hate Louisiana' shite is just dumb. People keep saying "Orgeron loves LSU!!!!" Does he? Would someone who loves LSU completely frick up like he did when he was stewarding the program? Orgeron is a mercenary, most college football coaches are, it's part of the job. I don't get the sense that he has any particular affinity for LSU. He sure didn't act like he did when he was head coach.

I don't know Orgeron, have no idea what he's really like as a person. But I think we're in a new era of college football where his rah rah schtick is way less effective than it was in the previous era.

You’re trying too hard. You don’t need to make up a bunch of excuses for him. He’s been gone for five years and everybody’s still beating up on him. He loves LSU and he’s a good coach- if he wants to come back and be an assistant coach, for me that’s a no-brainer. Dragging up everything from this past is just completely unnecessary.

Saban is the guy that goes to the casino every Friday after work and brings home an extra $3-400. O is the guy that blows his whole paycheck every week because he once hit a $10,000 jackpot!

Hey - any Nick Saban team and staff of all time (pick any) vs Ed Orgeron with 2019 LSU - who wins?

Do we take away Ed’s staff that developed the players and plays in the offseason and managed the team and play calls during the season? If so, I’ll take Saban’s 2007 Bama team, and they’d likely win.

I don’t have to deflect you with an insult. Your irrational support for O is insult to you enough.

O is a good defensive line coach, it's what he is, it's what he is meant to be and in today's NIL world you don't have to worry about some of the stuff you might have back in his recruiting heyday.

I have no issue with him coming back in that capacity.

I can fault the guy for a lot of bad decisions, throwing his hands up and just saying frick it isn't one of them.

I couldn't disagree more. I can forgive mistakes, but not lack of effort.

Coach O is trash and a mental midget. He needs to concentrate on recruiting strippers for the club.

Orgeron f**ked up.Period. That is a fact. He threw away one of the greatest opportunities he would ever have. That being said he was also one of the best DLine coaches and recruiters in the country. Timing is everything and with his relationship with Kiffen I am open to a comeback. He and Wilson together would lock down this state. Would still like to see them keep Kyle Williams also. Maybe make O a Dline analyst and co head recruiter with Frank. I'm a big believer in second chances and as long as he's not coming back as HC I'm good with that.
