Not sure why you're getting down votes. It's actually one of the more interesting discussion topics I've seen here.

Top candidates for me are:
Phillips
Monroe
CEH
Jefferson
Vincent
Kirklin

I'll disqualify Phillips, Vincent and Monroe since they were both very highly heralded recruits. I think some people are pretty high on CEH already and he wouldn't really be coming out of nowhere.

This leaves Jefferson or Kirklin. If Fulton returns, that's going to really eat into Kirklin's playing time. so, I'll take the chance that our offense clicks early and go with Jefferson

Sticking with the WR group, it could also be either rook: Marshall and Chase are both physically capable.

An injury or two and these cats could be our main targets.

Yeah. Meant to add him to my list of potential guys and forgot. I could DEFINITELY see him being the guy.

That’s a good one.

It looks like he’s beat out Taylor who started games last year.

My OLB pick is Divinity.

I know he was highly recruited but he hasn’t flashed a ton in his first 2 seasons.

Rashard said he was hurt last year so I’m excited to see what he can do as an F this year.

If Pettigrew hadnt gotten hurt, he would be an excellent candidate for this thread. So much potential there.

Pettigrew

Yep. It's a shame. But I would still be hesitant to pick him given our track record of tight ends in the passing game. I'm going to need to see it first before I expect anything big out of that position group.

I thought of that as well. If they're really gonna throw the ball as much as they say, it would be damn near impossible not to include a matchup nightmare like that IMO.

I think by seasons end we will have the best Linebacker duo in the conference.

We could run out there with 10 guys on defense, Devin White playing both ILB positions and we still have the best LB duo in the SEC.

Devin's the goat.

ETA: Answer is Divinity. He's primed for a very good year. I think he has 50+ tackles and 6+ sacks.

I bet you feel like a douche. Now your post has a lot more downvotes than the OP's. That's funny.

I will go with Ed Alexander as the national "pop" player.

As far as the rant goes I will pick Travez Moore.

Really, the answer is probably nobody. Anyone we list needs to go from basically (literally in Greedy's case) not playing at all to first team All-SEC this year, preseason all-american next year and likely 1st round draft pick over the course of this season.

CEH will be the starter and a starting Rb at LSU kinda puts an early spotlight on ya. As far as coming out of nowhere like greedy did..

On offense I’m going with Drake Davis.. has a few years of experience and is a freak athlete. Also good things being said about his spring.

On Defense it’s Jacob Phillips. He is a beast who didn’t even start last year but as he settled in people started raving about him.

Andre Anthony

He and Devin White should be juggernauts this year.

I think it's Fehoko

Since he won team awards for S&C and was getting lots of fanfare from coaches and players last year, I personally don't think he qualifies.

Think about how much it would benefit LSU it was whoever plays corner opposite Greedy.
