This year is different.

I have been an LSU fan since I was created by 2 atoms smashing together at a high rate of speed in Switzerland. I usually go into a season with "guarded optimism", and last year was "guarded pessimism".
But this year, I am really excited about what we are bringing to the table. Perhaps it's because I am a homer, but I look at the weapons we have on both sides of the ball, and I can't help but think that we could make a run this year. Think about it...We can line up with 2 tight-ends and run CS between the tackles, or we can line up with 5 wide and toast a secondary. Add to that the explosiveness of Jefferson, Holliday, and Shepard...I just got wood!
I'm happy that Florida and Ole Miss are getting all the play this year, and LSU is quietly sneaking around the hen-house. I also think that the optimism and excitement among the fans is gaining momentum. I'm just sayin'

Im pumped, I mean FLorida had a down year between there two National Championship. granted it wasnt as down as ours but still.

i gotta be honest, at this time last year, i thought that our d-line would have been the shite. actually, i had more confidence last year than any other year in our d-line.
favorite, alexander, nevis, woods, pittman, alem, t.j. etc. (are you fricking kidding me. this looked amazing last year).
so, i have to be kinda reserved in my optimism about the d-line until i see.

I got that same feeling. Really think we will make a serious run. Hope we can win the BCSNC with absolutely no doubt this year. 2003 ( They say we shared it with USC

I would love us to lose to UGA just like Florida lost to Ole miss, and then just completely demolish FLorida and everything else in our path to the National Championship game.

ain't this time of year great? i, too, share your optimism and anticipation. we have the capability of making one hell of a run. if we can score points on the road, we can be a bcs team. it sure is nice having a competitive team year in and year out. all too well, i remember a period when that was not so.

I think we have great year b/c this team seems hungry and out for revenge. With all the weapons on offense and a revamped defense i am pumped as well!

I'm pumped too because the fans and team seem to be hungry again after last year's debacle. As a program (team, fans, coaches, etc.) we had gotten fat and happy. Now we are all hungry and itching to prove ourselves again. There is a lot og good energy surrounding the team this year.

The d line was shite last year because RJF thought he was the shite. I guess you have to do more than make a cool youtube workout video to actually be good.

I agree with you about LSU looking good, and I feel as excited as you do. But I don't agree that LSU is sneaking around beneath the radar. Almost every poll has the Tigers in the top ten, and Gary Danielson picked us to play in the BCSCG!

No, I felt the same way you did. I just kept watching RJFs video and getting pumped up. Problem was, that was all he was doing apparently too. I expect a meaner, nastier DL this year.
