This will affect LSU greatly down the line.

This game is going to come back to haunt us, unfortunately that's just the way it is. If we win out and I think we have a great chance of doing so, the committee will come up with some BS about how this game kept us out of the playoff. They will take a 1 loss Alabama team over us and we will all melt into eternity

What is our motivation down the stretch if we are mathematically eliminated from SEC contention? Fla should be forced to forfeit.

Not true - SEC does head to head.
We would have 1 loss - to Auburn
If Bama has 1 loss and it is against us - then they beat Auburn so there is no 3 way tie - goes off head to head

You only get to head to head if there is a tie. You determine division winner by winning percentage. 7-1 Bama goes over 6-1 LSU even if we beat them.

agreed. the fact that we remained unranked this week and wont play a game really hurts if we make a run and keep winning.

There is no tiebreaker because there is no way to be tied; it is impossible for us to have the same winning percentage as any other team in the West.

I hate to be the realistic one guys but I doubt we win out . I do think we can possibly beat bama ,but odds are we drop 1 or 2 more games . shite we could have lost to flordia missing 2 o lineman, Fournette, Moreau, etc. I lie , we would beat the brakes off flordia ! Cowards! Oh well lsu continues to get fricked by the SEC , what's new .
