Can we please step up and beat an Ole Miss team convincingly? Expecting a blowout like Bama gave them is not realistic, but what about a 17-20 point win? Is that to much to ask for? IF this team wants to be as good as the 2010 team, which beat teams convincingly, they need to show up in a big way starting now. Now, let the trolling begin....

Apparently 17-point wins aren't convincing enough these days.

So exactly like LA Tech?

we are a 13 point favorite. Cover and win by 3 scores. That too much to ask for?

But we certainly do care about dominating lesser opponents!

We were a 19 point favorite over LA Tech and coming with 2 points of a push wasn't good enough seeing as we were up 24-0 and in total control of the game. There's no way we shouldn't have covered that game.

As for this weekend, it just depends on how we look. It would be nice to dominate a complete game and finish an inferior team off.

What if we win 21-20 in a classic game?

A win is a win. Just keep winning.

Yea.... no. If you do this:
quote:

Just win

It won't matter what style points we have. Winning, just winning, will provide everything we need to get into the playoffs. Period. You literally can not argue with that.

Ah right, because with teams like Miami, AU, Bama, MS State and UGA on our schedule, when it comes down to playoff selection time, they are going to be analyzing for style points against unranked Ole Miss right?

In 2010, the 4-7 Ole Miss Rebels came in to Tiger Stadium and gave #5 LSU all they could handle, losing 36-43. So let’s hope they want to be better than the 2010 team because I was at that game, and it was a b-hole clencher.

ETA: I also remember the 2013 game where they were practically down to walk on DBs, and LSU with Mett, OBJ and Jarvis ended up losing by a FG.

No, TigerFan4040, that won't cut it against a pussy opponent like OLD Miss, especially a week after playing down to an in-state mid-major opponent. You've got to keep improving each week, so that you can play for bigger and better things in November. We need to dominate or semi-dominate this pussified Old Miss squad. Their defense is a joke, and our defense can be stellar when at its best.

I've got a feeling that this is going to be a lot like the Tech game, but Ole Miss actually gets a lead in the late 3rd/early 4th before LSU puts them away late.

If LSU jumps to a quick lead and falls asleep, again, this Ole Miss offense has the potential to put up a lot of points very quickly.
