Said it a million times - WW below average HC, great at paying players!

As great as Bobby Knight was, he would have ZERO CHANCE being successful today. Due to his old school style and REFUSAL to be woke, he would be cancelled immediately. He also doesn't strike me as the type to conform to the bullshite.

I don't necessarily disagree with this approach as a coach/leader. It just won't fly in today's soft world.

Trendon Watford refuses to play any kind of defense. He doesn't even make an attempt to try to appear like he's playing defense. Cam Thomas has heard of defense. but hasn't tried it yet. Smart either steals the ball or allows his man to shoot an open shot, or penetrate. Yet here the balance of the starters just stand around on defense. No helping out , few double downs, few defensive stops. Maybe WW is forced to allow watford to bring the team down by his selfless play. Maybe he is just fulfilling a promise. If Trendon thinks he's helping his draft status w/his present play, then he must be smoking crack . Cam Thomas may be the best offensive player in college BB & yet Watford throws up wild shots which no coach should put up with. The TEAM is actually better off when LeBlanc takes Watford's place. It's pitiful to watch. But Trendon surely is "woke".

It's not quite that bad. Clearly Cam shoots a ton and doesn't pass much and Watford has games where he just takes poor shots when there are guys in better position that could get better shots off if he would pass it, but he is surprisingly like 11th in assists per game in the SEC. Smart should actually shoot more because the dude is #1 in the SEC in 3-point % shooting 46%, yet Cam has shot over 40 more 3s than Smart. Smart is also 4th in the SEC in FG%, yet he sets up his teammates enough to be 4th in assists in the SEC. There are no other ball hogs on the team, so it's really Cam and Trendon who don't pass enough at times.

I just think if Cam dished it off more to teammates (not likely) for easier buckets and Watford wouldn't get in that mode where he drives from the top of the key out of control and throws up prayers, LSU would do a lot better. But Wade seems to be ok with that at times and that's a flaw obviously.

100% nailed it. Imagine if we had today's media/political climate during the d-day invasion. NO WAY we could have carried out that heroic operation, and we'd all be speaking australian right now.
