This team could have easily gone 7-3, perhaps 8-2

The Mississippi State loss was inexcusable. That was all on coaching.

The Missouri loss was inexplicable. 4 chances from the 1 to win the game and we don’t get in? Come on.

Auburn and Alabama beat the crap out of us. But, if Max Johnson had started against A&M, there’s a good chance we win that game. A&M was very unimpressive.

Coaching cost us those 3 games, even with a depleted roster.

With as many players who left and as much turnover as we had, this team was no worse than 7-3 talent wise. Maybe 8-2. That’s pretty amazing.

The future is bright. We need to fix some things, but the talent is there.

Talent wise
Have to get better and more depth on both lines to match bama and others
That is the gap
And we weren’t even close to bama this recruiting class where it matters most

I agree completely. Coaches let this team down.

We weren't clearly better than anyone we played, save SC and Vandy, two teams that fired their coaches.

Not having Stingley vs. MSU hurt. Not having to play vs. Pitts helped. It all evened out, 5-5 was deserved.

Next year is huge.

BUT O coached this team up to win the last two games... You want to blame coaching for the loses but not give credit for two HUGE wins to end the season.....

Yep would’ve been 3-7 if not for going with Johnson the final 2 games.

aTm and Missouri were definitely winnable. Very possible LSU wins if MJ or MB plays.

Just stop with this shite. We were 5-5 and lucky to get that.

We were just as close to 3-7 or even 2-8 as we were to 7-3 or 8-2.

You have a valid point, but then you have to consider this: with a better record coming in, Florida would have taken us more seriously, and as such that game goes from a W to an L.

Possibly with a different defensive coordinator, Brennan not been injured and a better O-line.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts.....

not really - turnovers won the last two games (and the shoe, of course).

Our defense was still abysmal in both games.

Auburn and Mississippi State was the best they’ve looked all year against LSU.

I still think better play and we split those two contests.

Mizzou was a damn travesty.

some are forced by the D, but some are just plain luck or awful decisions by the opponent.

That sideline INT against Florida was definitely magic. WR tips it while going out of bounds, causing it to richochet off a DB's helmet while going out of bounds, to drop into another DB's lap while coming back in bounds...
