Guess they weren't unstoppable in 07, or 2010, or 2012. Guess our crap arse teams in 08 and 09 took them to the wire. Should have won the game this year. Yea we are sooooooo far behind them.

So lsu beats bama next year and we're all good right?

While there is no doubting bad luck in OSU choking at Ames..

To assume that beating Bama in BR in 2012 guarantees crystal is asinine. I loved UGA vs the spread vs Bama, thought they'd play them to the wire. What in LSU's DB play post McCarron to Yeldon thru UM, Ark onto CFA Bowl vs Tajh, do you see as a team that beats UGA in Atlanta?

Murray and Co would've bested the LSU shown from 4 minutes left in Bama game to end of CFA Bowl.

I said we would have a chance to. Not saying it was definite. I think it's incredibly defeatist to sit here and say that we are so far away from their level and we aren't. Lsu fans are their own worst enemy. Break you mental chains from fearing bama. We are 3-3 vs them in the last six years. The bcs game is an outlier. It's the exception to the rule.

Guess I am brainwashed but I think Bama will win it again next year. They will just reload on o and the d will be much improved. Easy schedule and they have the refs in their pocket.

Les is not a good x and o coach. He is great at recruiting and motivating. He needs to let go of the offense. He either will and it soars, or he won't and it sinks him.

Never said LSU wasn't a heavyweight. But, it is one on the verge of a moderate rebuild. While the other superpower is totally loaded, and totally en fuego.

The Master of Minutaie and his team, know exactly what their process is, play to their standard almost always without fail, with great on-field accountability..

The Mumbler of Macro and his team, have a great want, but experiment, playing up or down to their foe's level, with a lesser on-field accountability than the aforementioned..

Bama's Defensive Guru HC commands the yearly #1 D in the land..LSU's Offensive HC meddles a woefully ranked O five of the last six seasons.

Are all Louisiana people negative like this? There are hundreds of college teams who are going to be excited about playing football and don't give a damn that Bama even exist.

Bama has separated from the pack. Meanwhile, LSU has a coach that will always be "pretty good" but who couldn't hold the jock of the guy in crimson.

We'll continue to be pretty good and that sure beats the fricking 90s but frick, how goddamned annoying!!!

Anyone not acquiesing to the fact that Saban is the best coach in college football is letting their hate for him leaving cloud their judgment. I don't want the guy back, but reality is reality. He aint perfect(no coach is). But the gulf between him and Miles is HUGE.

ETA: And before you start posting about us competing well against Bama, I'm talking about OVERALL coaching for a season. It's not even comparable. Add that to the fact that Saban is clearly a pretty damned good talent evaluator...

So what do you propose we do about that? Fire Miles? Ok, then what? Whoever they hire will still be in the same spot.
