This series win is even sweeter with not using Skenes

FLA still had their aces and could not win.
Nothing against Skenes, he got us there, he’s a stud, and will go far in the majors, but winning without him, is one for the ages, and shows this team wasn’t a one man show.

I saw earlier we had like 27 total strikeouts in the 3 game series vs. Florida's 43 total Strikeouts.
And they never even faced Skenes.

Agreed, he was ready!! I love that they never needed him. I know just seeing him warming up was a massive sike out!!

I'm a little sad he didn't go out there in the 9th... would have been a phenomenal swan song moment. But, I am sure there was good reason.

Anyone 2 months ago that said we can rely on our bullpen to win us a CWS was either high or trolling. No one saw this coming. No one could have predicted that the bats would go cold and it would be a bunch of average at best arms that would win LSU the whole thing.

Agreed. I said that yesterday when everyone was arguing about when he would play. I think it’s even better that we clobbered them without our best player (crews notwithstanding of course)
