This only counts teams they played this season. Oregon State, Tulane, and a few other schools would add to that number.

The total bonus number to date, which is far from where it will be with so many left to make a decision and quite a few big bonus guys left on the list, is $23,715,800.

If we were included teams played in previous years, that number would skyrocket. With guys like Adley Rutschman, Kody Hoese, and even Jackson Rutledge who transferred from Arkansas but then went in the first round the Nationals.

This is nothing more than trivia that I was interested in knowing, so I put the info together. The numbers are as accurate as I could get them. There may be errors.

Normally I'd be quite impressed, but if you are half way decent in high school you'll get drafted. Not nearly as impressive as saying the football team played against 113 draft picks.

Weird thread to choose to let everyone know you're an idiot, but okay.

Over half of those picks will never play in a MLB game.

what an idiot. I played in highschool at a place that has one multiple 5A state championships.. So I'd say we had some decent guys.. only one player drafter in the entire history of the school

I'd imagine this number is pretty high for most SEC teams. Especially those that make the supers.

The SEC is filled with MLB draftees and is basically a minor league system. It's pretty amazing.

I agree. The vast majority of guys are SEC guys. Our list got a boost from the SECT. But also Tennessee had a bunch of guys drafted as well, but we didn't play them.

Arizona State had a bunch and were in our regional but we avoided them. I got the idea looking at the MLB Draft Tracker and seeing 3 guys from Bryant get decent bonuses.

I wanted to see what the total bonus numbers we saw this year were. With no one from Vandy or Miss St having signed, plus Andrew Vaughn and Kameron Misner still unsigned, that number will have to be over $30MM by the time the deadline rolls around.

I know you can google and you would have saved yourself the embarrassment of projecting ignorance by typing something out without having zero research to back your evidence-less claim.

Draft Pick Study

Outside of the first two rounds, which most of those 113 picks were, you only have on average a 38% chance to ever see the majors.

It is very difficult usually to say with 100% certainty that nobody will post a dumber statement on the rant. You did it though. And you did it before 9AM. That's impressive.

4 out of HS, only 1 didn’t go to college

3 others redrafted from college.

2 remaining drafted just out of college

Since the overwhelming majority will top out in AA ball before they quit, which could very well be college ball part 2, the original topic means absolutely nothing.

Then you probably should have read the OP all the way through, because you missed where I said this:
