My belief was if your Interim AD thought they had Saban on the batphone, Dalton wouldn't be an issue. Your Guvnah sure could have jeopardized that.

Landry doesn't currently have the majority and won't until July, so the BOS isn't really influenced by him at the moment

I am of the somewhat unpopular opinion that Lane is staying put in Oxford.

The scuttlebut is there was definite and legit interest - but Dalton was the condition.
Landry wants Rousse. This did not meet the condition so there was discussed a compromise involving Dalton being Chancellor of the BR campus or some such. Not sure how the compromise has been received. It may well be received by a news release in a couple of days saying there was never any interest? We'll see.

So Saban has real interest hinging on Dalton being in the administration? What's the connection there? Dalton hasn't been at Bama for THAT long

JBE holdovers are a known problem. Jeff's biggest issue is some of his appointees are not happy about McNeese guy who honestly is not qualified to be President of LSU.

Not sure but Dalton was a late - and unexpected addition to the list for President Wednesday.
