I don't expect a new offense. I expect a competent, efficient offense. One that actually looks like its run by a veteran QB with passing routes not taken from a peewee teams playbook.

This is not surprising at all and I don't really mind them making it extra vanilla. The coaching staff knows what they have behind closed doors so why show the world?
That said, I'll still probably go out and watch said vanilla practice. . .

We should just use the Arkansas facade circa last year. Let the first team O put up 55 on the second string D, and let the first team D dismantle the back-up offense

Let me get this straight Marlin! You are complaining that lsu will lose 2 games each year. Really! how many team only lose 2 games a year never mind the fact that your supposition that LSU always loses at least two games with Miles as coach is simply wrong!

Well i hate to break it to you but there are over 120 teams and one trophy. LSU has 2 of the last 10. Cant believe you can think only in terms of one game then pout if it doesnt happen.

You can expect to see a retooled offense. It just will not be an "expanded" retooled offense. According to the players and Miles virtually ally the offense Cameron is going to use has been installed. What you will not see is an offense that is set to attack a Bama defense or an FL defense ect. You probably will not see allthe plays in 2hours either.
What I want to see on what is presented that they run good patterns, throw a good pass and it is caught which would indicate good results from the drills they are doing. In other words, despite not seeing a lot of different plays, I would like to see them execute the ones they use well, especially the ones in the red zone.

Miles has two choices. Either open it up or keep it vanilla. He is making the right choice. This is the first big time opportunity for several of the players, so Miles is going to be looking for fundamentals,technique and knowledge of the situation more than anything.
