Hard to imagine going thru anything like this until it happens. Went thru a health scare for couple of years with my daughter. After a very progressive procedure, she's doing awesome. Uncertainty is the hardest part and now that you have a plan, all that fear and heartache can be channeled into making her better. Some things I learned and that have totally changed my perspective are:
The thoughts, love, selfless deeds, and prayers from friends and sometimes strangers is how you get thru it. Take all you can get. You can gain all the strength you need in order to face this head on knowing how many people are thinking of and praying for your daughter.
Take strength from your daughter. Kids are brave and resilient. She's only 2 1/2, but I promise she'll blow you away with her courage.
Doctors that operate on children are not only smart, but they've got guts for days. I owe the world to one guy that had the brains and the balls to make my daughter well again. Take comfort knowing that guys like him are out there and they're ready for this.
Good luck! Myself, my wife, and my little Tigers (including one that knows about this all too well) will be praying for your little Tiger!

Don't even acknowledge. It is attention they seek.

I know this has been a rough week for us Tigers, but lil Katie does sure put things in perspective.
You are absolutely right. As someone who has let last week's game pretty much ruin my week (I'm pathetic, I know) this definitely brought me back down to earth and reminded me this world is filled with bigger problems than football. Prayers have been sent for Katie as well as yourself (you didn't even mention you're the one donating the kidney) and the rest of your family. Wishing for a safe procedure followed by a speedy recovery for the both of you. I will continue to keep you in my prayers, and only wish I were in a position to donate to your cause.

Not just a kidney transplant.
You didn't mention that you are giving your daughter one of your kidneys.
Not that any Dad wouldn't do the same. But I figured I'd mention it so the OT can throw up a prayer for you too.
Hang in there mate.
Eta: yes, yalls pictures have me proofreading my post with an Irish accent.

Good luck! I have a 1 1/2 year old and couldn't imagine going through this. She's a cutie.

That’s so cool you are donating your own kidney to your daughter. At least I believe that’s what I read.
God bless you both. Have a wonderful procedure and be well!

Thank you so much everyone! The gratitude and love being sent our way is overwhelming!
P.S. I am actually the mother of lil Katie! This is my husband that will be donating. In the ten years of talking football on this forum I know most have thought I was probably a dude, well now my secret is out! Lol

What is your little boy into?
I know that your family is strong and he is being a good big brother, but I would like to send some supplies in his direction.
When families have such challenges, I have always found that the entire unit does best when everyone's needs are individually addressed.
Thanks.

Rouge....thx for the kind words. That is Crawford our five year old who is a blast. You want to know what he is into? LSU Football lol. I took him to his first game in DV last year vs OM. It was the perfect day, after watching LF gain a million yards he was an instant fan

Prayers to your family and I am sure the downvotes is the result of "fat finger syndrome"

Very good point, I thought the board could use this during a time that it is ruining all of our weeks ;-)! Just gotta stay positive and hope they right the ship.
