You don’t throw your ace when you are a top seed facing a much inferior opponent. This team is not a top seed and doesn’t have an offense consistent enough to throw a bullpen guy a team that hits .340.

Yep. You go 1-0 or you are cooked unless you have a pen and bats to really rally. Jay just won a cws 1 yr ago. Maybe he knows a few things more than me. I like the idea of having jump tomorrow but man we’d be 0-1 had jay not put jump on tha

Metrics are nice but can be wrong, you throw your ace because teams are HOT entering post season play. Wofford was HOT. We needed someone that was commanding. Jump was commanding.

Serious? Not if you are playing catch up and unloading your pen all day. Having jump go 100 allowed us to have a pretty full pen game 3 assuming holman goes deep
