Steve Ensminger hasn't scored on Bama since the 70's.

Think about that. 40 years ago

Canada scored on them against a much better defense. Even out gained them. You may not like him but his offense gave bama fits. Steve's offense is back to the old les miles days and plays into everything Baja does and recruits for. That's on zero points Steve.

Yea when the OC's gameplan for a weak oline is long developing play action passing. Who's fault is that?

When you have a weak oline you put your qb in shotgun and have quick routes to throw too not make him turn around for 2-3 seconds to run a play fake that no body is biting on because you have negative rushing yards

At our own 4 he put burrow under center, and ran a god damn playaction. Enough said. Thats middleschool level bs.

I like SE but face facts. Ole Miss and Hugh Freeze didn't great O lines and they managed to hang points and wins against Alabama. The difference is Freeze could scheme for a mismatched OL.

*not uniformly worse

Caveats, sure. But “worse” doesn’t mean just talent. In no particular order there’s: preparation by players, technical instruction by coaches, intangibles with respect to football IQ, strength, game preparedness, etc. It is hard to argue that, from a holistic view, LSU’s offensive line has been “better” than other teams in this leagues.

Says offensive coordinator is not the problem, proceeds to blame offensive line.

An Ensminger led LSU offense has scored 0 points on Alabama in 8 quarters, and he's not the problem?

I don't know what we did during the bye week, but it's becoming painfully obvious our offensive line does not prepare adequately for Alabama. Bama's pass rush was almost immediate, and they stopped our rushing attack cold. Saban must see something in film study with our blocking scheme.

He helped get us this far with only 2 losses with an inadequate line. You have to give some credit to the guy. Yes, last night's performance was terrible, but I don't see anyone in the country competing with Bama this year. Should every team fire their head coach and OC because they can't beat Bama? Of course not... What I see in
Our team is progress from last year to this. We were expecting a 500 year at the beginning of the season, now looking at the possibility of a 2 loss season. A new OC every year doesn't solve our issue. We need to keep focusing on recruiting, develop the O line, and secure a top RB. The defense will be there.

And it won’t change til we get all 4 and 5 stars linemen. No more settling for 3 stars

You folks have lost your mind.

Then entire offense was designed based on long developing plays that we had no chance to protect

I actually think Coach Ensminger has hidden the poor online play with a pretty damn good scheme...contrary to all these dumbasses that don’t see a problem with 3 star recruits on your o line....

And then expect LSU to compete with development....

Well scheme wasn’t enough to hide the olines lack of ability to block....

I was thought maybe after a half season of games the online would have it together....sadly not the case....

LSU offensive scheme is the problem, no creativity, long routes, play action when you have not established a running game against an opponent, no moving the pocket, just ancient as plays. If OC was smart he would record the Saints or Rams games or watch how the Patriots use short to intermediate throws to move the ball.

Ensminger is the problem. He's a good guy and a great Tiger but he's not the future at OC... He's the past.

It's on Orgeron to recognize this and act accordingly, or it's going to be his downfall. Remember, Les Miles' loyalty to an inept offensive coordinator got him fired. If the same hubris and blind loyalty isn't addressed by O, he gone too.

This X 100. It all boils down to this. People want to blame the OL, Burrow, the receivers, etc. but the bottom line is that the scheme was doomed to failure and Ensminger did not make adjustments. Even a merely competent OC should be able to do that. It goes back to what has been said about Coach E all season long. If Plan A doesn't work, there is no Plan B. That's unacceptable.

You can pretty much guarantee that Arky and A&M will at least try to use Bama's blueprint on how to attack Ensminger's offense. It may not work as well for them due to the lack of talent compared to Bama's, but they will likely attempt to follow Bama's lead.

Funny everybody was praising Ensminger after Georgia.
True he didn’t call a great game but we didn’t have the personnel to win last night.
I’ve been saying for 4 years now that we have never had a decent OL at LSU.This is where our offensive problems begin and end.
