Fixed it for you. He should have never returned after being dismissed in 2019 before the tourney. He stayed too long, and the internal rot has gangreened the entire program.

Like I said, when we hired him my response was “frick” because I’d seen his teams and there was nothing that translated to suggest a winning P5 coach.

Who would you have hired?

He comes from Scott Drew’s staff at Baylor, he’s finished top 15 nationally in scoring the last 4 seasons, top 10 the last 3 including 4th nationally a couple years ago. Top 5 in 3 pointers made the last 3, and number 1 nationally 3 years ago. He’s made the sweet 16, upset 2 seeded Ohio State, 7 seeded Florida and lost to Arkansas best team by 2 to make the elite 8. And he’s done all this at Oral Roberts.

And he’d have the same issues as Matt because he wouldn’t be able to attract talent to LSU. That’s a 50 year old dude who went to a seminary school and coached at religious schools his entire career. Talk about not being a “fit”
And 57-67 prior to this year at ORU

No he wouldn’t because as he’s proven he can coach and he can beat teams when he’s vastly undermanned. I dunno what you’re religious “fit” comment is about, the guy coached for Scott Drew at Baylor so there’s no issue other than a fabricated one.

“And 57-67 prior to this year at ORU”
Oh ok, I didn’t realize you were just stupid. He inherited an 8 win team at Oral Roberts and got them to the sweet 16 in year 4 by beating power 5 schools including a top 10 ranked 2 seed team. His offenses stay in the top 10 nationally with maybe one guy that could start on this team. And his record is 68-41 since year 2 dipshit. You’re a classic case of basketball ignorance.

He’s proven it because of one run in the tournament with a two players that were just unconscious. Hmm it’s almost like in hoops it’s about the dudes moreso than scheme in college hoops
And that was my point about the religious background. Doesn’t scream ability to go out and get guys to play ball in Baton Rouge. I could be wrong but his background doesn’t scream SEC fit and probably part of the reason he wasn’t even mentioned in any of the openings in the league this past year

Got it so now we are forgiving coaches for a bad year or two? Gotta be consistent bud
Posted on 1/14/23 at 10:08 pm to TigerFan91
Again you’re ignorant and you have to make things up to support your opinions.

Oral Roberts = LSU?
You’re a moron

You do the same thing retard. That’s what anyone in an argument does

Move those goal posts bud. Fit your narrative
Posted on 1/14/23 at 10:11 pm to TigerFan91
No I don’t, I provided facts, you made up shite about games you didn’t witness and religious nonsense. Big difference.

Yeah, Kansas was left no choice either... oh wait.
Do you honestly believe LSU was going to get the same treatment from the NCAA that Kansas did?

We don't need to win dirty
MM will clean up the team and build a better one. This is not the finished product.

Yep I didn’t watch Kevin Obanor and Max Abmas average 60 points a game for a two game stretch
His best finish in the Summit League regular season is 4th LMFAO. Imagine the uproar about hiring a guy with that resume
