Seriously. This is like Orgerons first true test to prove what he said to the fan base. "Win championships fast".

Good programs win the games they are supposed to win. Canada is out to prove that LSU is no longer stale on offense.. Etling has been hearong nonstop how hes average, and you can bet hes out to stop that immediately.

We learn everything about LSU today, and where weve come as a program.

Obligatory Arden Key is back!

I have no clue why this game is being hyped up so much.

Me either. It's just as important as every time we play them early in the season. If we win we're okay, if we lose we're fricked

i think it's about Coach O more than anything else. It really is his first big test as a head coach. Mainly because this is the first SEC game, and like it or not, we will have a grasp on how we look compared to a mediocre division team. The O haters and supporters are on the edge because of how they feel about the hire, and can't wait to start the pissing match of who is right or wrong.

MSU has all the [false] bravado in the world about tonight because of two victories they have over CEO while he was at ole miss.

LSU =/= Ole Miss. MSU fans are about to be sorely disappointed.

You have a total misunderstanding of O's critics.

If by some ridiculous circumstance we lose this game or a game we shouldn't, it'll be everyone else that freaks out, not his critics. I freaked out last November. It's out of my system.

It's a sad state of affairs that this is considered a big game. That is a tacit acknowledgement of what you guys think of the HC.

Because State is good. Obviously not Alabama good, but folks expecting to blow them out are in for a rude awakening.

This game reminds me a lot of when Dak came to Tiger Stadium and we expected the same old State. Their QB is good and we're not going to be able to just hand the ball off to Guice 30 times for a comfortable win.

Disagree. I am actually glad there's a segment of realistic fans that realizes we're not just going to trounce everyone we play. We haven't been a good team and we need to prove we can win games consistently again.

I don't think we'll trounce these guys but I don't think it's a big game either. This should be a routine, hard fought SEC win today, win by 10 points or so.

not predicting a trounce but it does not mean this is a "for all the marbles" game or something along the lines of bama or auburn. we have beat these clowns 17 of 18. i expect a hard fought win. not predicting a blowout. but anything can happen.

In reality it's just another LSU vs Moo U game.

we had 4 huge games against john bond we lost and we shite the bed in 1984 with the sec on the line. we backed into the sugar after UF got disqualified.

I'm happy We're playing a legitimate opponent today, and I believe the Tigers will perform well.

In my estimation nothing was gained last week. As per usual the Tigers looked lacklustre against an inferior opponent, and I wish we would stop scheduling these FCS games

That's not a fair assessment of what transpired back in '84. LSU was a banged up team on both offense and defense, and Arnsparger cobbled together a team with lots of 2nd & 3rd teamers and performed admirably, IMHO. We beat Ole Miss & Bama prior to the Miss. State disappointment.

Not me. I remember losing to them when we were #6 in the polls. Three years ago was a big one, too.
