re: This is one poorly coached team

Get one thing straight: Kim Mulkey has won FOUR national championships not two as one poster suggested. The only HC currently coaching that has won more is Geno at UConn (he has 11!). Staley has three.
I am sure Kim and her staff could list plenty of mistakes they have made in recruiting, developing, and gameday coaching. EVERY coaching staff can do that. I will trust them to work on the team's weaknesses in whatever way they come up with.
IMO, the games crucial to our seeding are yet to be played: @UK, @Ala, and OMiss at home. I predict we'll be a #2 seed. The SEC Tournament is not really relevant to our seeding, IMO.

Why are all of your posts so negative?

Gilbert, Sheppard def should have gotten more than 6 min.
Flaujae and MK looked a bit fatigued late
IMO its the only thing holding us back from possibly winning the whole thing. Our starting 5 is probably the best in the country minus UCONN. Its being pretty obvious the last two losses have been because we were too tired in the 4th. Plus LSU plays super hard too (fast pace offense, rebounding, and defense) which also leads to getting tired. I really think Kim realized this after this last loss as she kind of hinted to it in the post game. KG, Miracle, Poa, Richard, Wolfenberger........they all need more minutes.

I would be interested in seeing where our assists stack up among other top teams. Don't tell me I'm lazy and should look it up.. because its GBB and I have more important things to do ...like bringing in the trash can from the street.

Actually Texas only took 2 more free throws 21 to our 19, but they made 21 to our 13.

You do realize the only difference in a one and two seed in the elite 8 is the color jersey you wear right?

Poa is the turnover machine. Turnovers and free throws cost them the game.

The bench did not contribute because they did not get in the game to give the starters a break. It was clear to see toward the end of the game the starters were worn out and that's when you start missing shots. KM needs to have more trust in the bench, if they stink, who cares, you lost anyway and they will never get better if they don't play.

Also a sign of fatigue is the offense becomes stagnant. too many players trying to catch their breath because they have to play defense on the other end. IMO KG and Miracle have proven they are not stinky players, just need more minutes to get acclimated to playing with their teammates.

So does KG and Day-Wilson. But I think this would get better over time with more playing time. Also this teams needs to work on back cutting to the goal.

I didn’t coach miss one FT. We lost the game at the line. If you watch the name, you notice things like that.

Don’t bring that up - you’ll get hammered by the basketball “experts” here!
