This is one of LSU's worst days in history

This is one of LSU's worst days in history. I am an LSU fan and always will be. I can remember watching great athletes like Brad Davis, Tommy Casanova, Andy Hamilton to today's modern day heroes. Tiger Stadium - Death Valley is a place I yearn to visit every fall to enjoy the pageantry that is the Purple and Gold spirit. The Tiger Band march onto the field gives me that special feeling that only can be induced by the Golden Band from Tigerland.
Alas, today's events doesn't change those things but definitely dampens the spirit. Because of a bar fight instigated and spurred on by a jealous ex-boyfriend, the 2011 LSU football season will forever be tainted and will always have an asterisk. Just as the Earthquake game marks something special, this event marks exactly the opposite.
We know that these players did not go out that night looking for a fight. But a fight did find them. We know that these players and their families will never be the same and thus their lives have been changed forever.
The coaches and teammates can only imagine what it would be like if this event did not take place. They must find inspiration and motivation to produce on the football field. it will be a hard task. Some players will feel that Jefferson was railroaded. They will have to move on. It may have started out as a simple bar fight, but when the losers of the fight who call themselves victims decide to pursue legal action. It became much more. This event will forever cast a shadow on the LSU program and diminish its national reputation.
But, in the end, let's hope and pray that our football team will find its way through this storm and press on for a 2011 championship.

THE FIGHT WAS CAUSED BECAUSE OUR PLAYERS DECIDED TO FIGHT BACK. THEY COULD HAVE EASILY WALKED AWAY!
THIS POST PUTS YOU IN THE RANTARD OF THE YEAR DISCUSSION.

I love it when people type a lot in one post because they think it's going to make them sound intelligent.

Not the worst day in LSU history by far. LSU sent students to fight in battles dating back the the Civil War who never came back. Please have some perspective.

Makes no sense. It will be remembered as a bar fight. It will impact the memory of JJ for sure, and quite possibly greatly impact JJ's life, but why would a bar fight that impacts one player "taint" an entire season?
The drama amongst some of the LSU fan base over this is insane.

False. Nothing was worse than losing to Kentucky in 07.

Dude you suck. LSU is by far a better program than for this shite to be a "worst day" type scenario.
Go kill yourself.
Go kill yourself.

This is a bad day for football, granted.
But in terms of LSU overall, this hasn't got shite on "Crazy Days at LSU" back in '86. THAT was a true clusterfrick.
