It makes more sense to go to college these days

Crews, Skenes, and Langford went to college and still got called up almost at the same age as Jackson Holliday who went straight to the pros

And they all looked far more ready than Holliday. Also the fact you still likely make close to a million dollars to go to college….

I think in the next 20 years, for American born players, there will be more guys make it to the majors and get to that second contract that played college ball vs guys that didn’t

Yea it never happened before NIL. paying these dudes ridiculous money to play college makes a big difference now on their decision.

Was there any truth to the rumor he had an $8mil NIL deal lined up at LSU? Was living in MS while he was a senior when someone told me that, but he was a known exaggerator. I could never find any articles or anything mentioning that figure. Seems a little farfetched for a baseball player
