But but Brennan put up some good stats in three games!
So now Myles actual game action means less?

You guys are really worked up over this qb competition huh

Honestly, I don’t think any of the players previous body of work means much. Different systems, situations, etc.

Both guys will come in and compete and the guy who works best for what they want to do will win the job.

It's amazing how poor stats in a conference that doesn't play much defense, are just overlooked because of color. Brennan will start and I'm sure this cat will gets some snaps.

correct... he will get snaps but he is the back up plan (which you do need) because brennan has a history of getting hurt... its a smart move, but he isnt going to start... if the OC keeps the spread offense then brennan will be fine...

no, its called having a brain/common sense and actually being a talent evaluator as my job... all of you bandwagon people just follow what is written in some news article...

yeah, the kid is an athlete, and not a bad qb, but he is not beating out a 5th year player that has been here that the coaching staff recruited to come back from the portal and that WAS going to be the starter the last two years.

here is another hot take for you... Johnson isnt beating out HAynes King at TAMU either...

keeps this and ill see you in Sept...

If he's better he's 100% beating him out. It don't matter if Myles has been here 10 years and was the most loyal QB in LSU history, if Jayden Daniels gives us the best chance to win then he will start.

So you’re speculating. Thank you for clarifying

Can you elaborate on this? What field of work do you evaluate talent for?

yeah, the kid is an athlete
He's a helluva an athlete: 710 yards rushing; 5.1 YPC; 6 TDs. No one on LSU's rosters last year had better YPC or more TDs. Only TDP had more yards rushing.

quote:

and not a bad qb
He's actually a good QB. He had the highest completion percentage and the second highest YPA in the PAC-12.

quote:

but he is not beating out a 5th year player
Daniels is going into his 4th year.

quote:

that has been here
Brennan didn't play last year, and he had never played for these coaches.

quote:

that the coaching staff recruited to come back from the portal
Daniels was recruited to come here from the portal.

quote:

WAS going to be the starter the last two years
Daniels was the starter for the last three years.

keeps this and ill see you in Sept.
Yup.
