I don't think this is feeling like 2007 at all. I think you're hoping it's like 2007. We never got kicked around in 07 by anyone.

So we've definitely got another loss to sit through?

LSU beat Bama in 2007.....soooo no. Two OT losses is not as bad as what we witnessed Saturday night.

Is that the year we went to 3 OTs vs Kentucky and Arkansas? If so then we did get kicked around. By Kentucky and Arkansas.

Wild things don't even have to happen like in 2003 or 2007. Just a few things need to happen (and of course, LSU has to win out...which is a pretty good challenge), but it could happen.

The Arkansas loss in OT was more devastating than Saturday's loss though at the time. That was brutal because we thought we were done.

this. LSU is very clearly a step below Bama and likely several other teams. That '07 was way better than this one.

I agree to a point. Impossible? No. But not likely. That was a straight up beat down Saturday night. It was painful to watch. LSU was just manhandled. I don't remember getting beat like that in 2007. If I remember correctly KY was a ranked team that year with a pretty damn good QB. So they weren't exactly trash that year. Arkansas had McFadden and some other good players. They weren't a bad team either. But LSU played those teams better than what just took place.

Better prey for Bama to lose. Must win SEC or forget it.

Literally... I think you're crazy. This team is zippo compared to 07 except LF7. JJ2 at QB. Great WRs. Nothing on Defense or S.T. even close to 07.

We didn't get beat like that. UK and Arky were both pretty good that year...just inconsistent. The UK team was undefeated and ranked #8 or so pretty well into the season. But it was still two losses and a two-loss team getting into the championship was unheard of.

LSU is #9 and most of the teams in front of them have games that they could definitely lose with three weeks left of the season. LSU only needs to move up 5 spots with three weeks or so to go. However, LSU has tough games against Arkansas and a really tough one at Ole Miss. I think they should be able to wear down aTm and just run all over them. So some things have to happen, but it's a decent chance.

Just consolidated the 2 losses in 2007 into one worse loss in 2015, I could get on board with that. Lets go Dak. The pain Ive felt since Saturday could be washed away seeing those damn Bama fans knocked right back down after they thought they were immortal again.

Prescott can have the Heisman if he takes down Bama and lets LSU back into the championship equation. Fournette can get it next year.

But odds are a 2 loss Bama would probly still be ahead of LSU because well losses to Mississippi school dont really count. And Miss St was #1 for half the season last year so therefor that loss this year for Bama would be a quality loss Despite the fact LSU would have beaten both teams that beat Alabama

Incorrect. Try Google next time.

37-43 @ Kentucky in triple OT.

Edit: maybe I misunderstand the point you are making. Losing to Bama, although thoroughly manhandled, has to look better then losing to a barely ranked Kentucky team.

Not the same at all, IMHO. In 2007, even LSU haters acknowledged that LSU and USC were the two best teams in the country, talent-wise. People were shocked when they lost; albeit in triple overtime to KY and Ark. Virtually no one said that LSU didn't deserve to be in the title game once the final upsets happened. LSU was quite simply the best team in the country, in spite of weathering 2 upsets.

This team has not been looked at as the best, or most talented team in the country, at any point this year. A very good team they are; maybe even a top ten team when the dust settles. However, at this point it would be shocking if they got into the playoffs, because they clearly are not the best team in the country.
