This game was a microcosm for the whole season

The little things just aren’t being done right. They are adding up and the results show that.
Bottom 9 little things
Leadoff hitter walked
Missed 2nd base on DP effort
0-2 pitch down the pipe roped for tying run
Another 0-2 pitch down the pipe where we were saved by Milam’s play
Top 10
LSU leadoff hitter walked
Inning ended with him still standing at first base
11th
Another 0-2 pitch down the pipe cranked for the win
That’s just 3 innings, but this has been an issue all year. There is something fundamentally off with this team in all three phases.

You're not really wrong, but I'm going to be an optimist: the young guys got in and performed. I feel like most of the spark and the run production came from freshmen. Patrick, Serna, Braun, Ruckert, even Hardin got a walk in his AB.
On the other hand I'm hoping most of the injuries we suffered today are minor because at the rate we're going we're going to run out of players before the weekend is over.

I can’t wait for Milam to be gone from the program. Pothead POS cost us this game, and it’s not the first time he’s screwed us. Normally it’s at the plate tho. Have never seen a guy regress every year at the plate like he has.

Yep, if you told me pregame this team was gonna start guidry against valincius on the road with 4 freshmen in the lineup, id say we’d prob lose 9-3. We hung tough and will be better for this

You’re delusional. This was final nail in coffin. Guidry sucks, Milam sucks, and Cowan sure as hell sucks cock when it really counts

He’s regressed every year he’s been here batting, that’s not an opinion. He batted .326 freshman year, .295 last year, and is batting .282 this year (that’s also inflated from a “hot streak” last few games, was closer to .260 two weeks ago). There’s no way to say he hasn’t regressed every year as a batter without lying. He also is a pothead, that’s certified by people who are friends with him.

You’re too stupid to realize the value of what serna, braun, ruckert, harden, arrambide, and patrick are getting from an experience standpoint. Not surprising

Did I mention any of them? Glad they’re getting to play. But our supposedly stud shortstop (who’s regressed every year as a batter) lost us this game, which would’ve been a huge momentum booster for everyone. This season is over
