You can literally see him step out of the box on the first pitch and then react to the coach telling him to stay in
I agree with that. Literally. Dude.
ETA: I don't know if the reaction was bc of the coach, umpire, or Jobert trying to make a point, though.

They scored two freaking runs and you’re gonna blame the umps. You baseball people are hilarious

He did not “pop way out” he stepped about a foot outside the box and then stepped back in. All other players, like I said, stepped out way more than him. Again, he did absolutely nothing wrong in that at bat, so why is he being harassed?

Agreed, that is on the coaches and the players. How the coaches have not warned the kids about this after it was all over social media about Florida is sad! Again, JJ has had these guys since the fall and this is some of the shite that should be easily coached up!!!!

???
And you know this how?

Because I believe the rule states the batter shall not leave the box (one foot needs to stay in box) with the exception of a few instances of ball being reset, coaches visit, foul ball, and a few others. They warned him him in the other at bat, they every right to do what they did. Jobert should know the rules!

Every batter was leaving the box after almost every pitch, including Arkansas batters. So again I implore you, why was Jobert harassed his entire second at bat?
Posted on 4/16/22 at 7:14 pm to Terrific Tales
I just explained the rule to you. He was already warned. The umps did the same to Tre Morgan last year and he did what they asked by keeping one foot in the box with the exception rules.

Lower your expectations for SEC crews irrespective the sport...your blood pressure will thank me.

So what did he do wrong the second at bat? Warning him previously for something he did in a previous at bat does not justify harassing him in a completely different at bat in any way

Get over it. Jobert should've got his arse in the batters box after he was warned. That call, while questionable, isn't the reason LSU got broomed. This is just not a fundamentally sound baseball team
fricking boot licker

I agree it wasn't the reason we were swept but it def changed the momentum of the game at that singular moment. ARK fans were lethargic and that call was like a shot of adrenaline for fans and players. The dugout got very active after that. Ridiculous call in a 1-0 game.

Just like basketball…. Refs have it in for LSU. Get over it, they lost.

Jeff Head is one of the only holdovers I remember. He was the crew chief on 3rd base today. Most umpires/officials do their jobs without fanfare. He has always been a showboat for no reason as he is surely not one of the better ones. However, he is NOT the reason LSU lost. When the pitcher botched what could have been a Double play it put blood in the water and Arky pounced on it.

Johnson was wayyy too chill in his argument. Even CPM would turn red and erupt over this kind of egregious stuff.
He should have lodged a protest and then gotten tossed Wally Backman style.

That’s bullshite. Our game pace isn’t anything out of the ordinary other than we have to use 4 P per game plus visits in order to play decent ball.
Today was uncalled for and it seriously hurt our chances at picking up a W.

Yep. I’m insanely jealous of how Vitello stood up for his guys today. Johnson sometimes looks down right friendly when he needs to be raising hell.
Like I said, mild-mannered Mainieri got way more animated than Johnson has so far.

Why, the league is perfectly happy over this.
