In what way should they have called a strike on him in the second at bat? He didn’t take more than 5 or 10 seconds between pitches a single time

Why are you saying in lieu of calling a strike on him like he did something wrong?

If Joubert was stalling the Ump did the right thing.

He wasn’t stalling he was fricking composing himself before stepping in with 2 strikes 2 outs and 2 men on base in a massive spot

He steps out nowhere near the batter's box. And, they had already banged him once. Yes, tell him to get it together before they have to bang him again. I'm not arguing about this. The ump is a puss, and handled it terribly. End of story.

Dude what are you talking about? He didn’t ever step out more than like 2 feet in the second at bat. I legitimately don’t know what you watched

I watched his next time up and thought Joubert was an a-hole… I would’ve called three strikes no matter where the ball was pitched

WHAT??? He literally just did a normal fricking at bat. He stepped out for less time than anybody 1 through 9 on either team the second at bat

The second at bat, Joubert was challenging the ump to call a strike on him. You could easily see the look on Joubert's face.

I just watched the entire at bat again. He didn’t look at the ump a single time. The most he stepped out of the box was MAYBE a foot. He was looking at our dugout the entire time and never took more than 10 seconds per pitch and never said anything to the ump.

How the hell was he an a-hole?

Ump show in the Tennessee game as well. Same ump from the CWS last year that tossed their assistant just tossed vitello and the pitching coach in the first inning

He just wasn’t. He was looking straight at our dugout. When he didn’t swing on the hanging breaking ball he got visibly mad at himself, but that was the only time he showed any emotion until he struck out

Correct. He was dancing on the line early in the count, trying to make a point...and watched 3 sliders. And, I'm not blaming him for getting called on the first time. The ump is a puss.

Ok. You'll see his toe on the very back corner of the batter's box between pitches. Post the video, too. He literally played a cat and mouse game with the ump on one of the pitches.

Jay Johnson told him to keep part of his foot in the box so that the ump’s wouldn’t say he was out of the box. You can literally see him step out of the box on the first pitch and then react to the coach telling him to stay in. That was necessary because the ump’s were completely bullshitting him.

In the 2 at bats previous to that one as well as the 3 arkansas at bats right after, every player stepped out more than Jobert. Every single one

Ok, so I ask again. What did Jobert do wrong in that at bat. Why was the ump yelling at him before the at bat even started, and if Jobert wasn’t taking any sort of unreasonable time between pitches, then why was the umpire telling the pitcher to pitch the ball while Jobert was resetting? And why was the third base ump making a show of showing his stop watch when Jobert wasn’t even taking that much time?

Protest scoring 6 runs in a weekend for an "offensive" team.

Bc they had already called a strike on him in his previous at bat. And he popped way out of the box again. They were telling him that they would do it again. What are you arguing? Did you want them to sneak a strike on him again?
