re: This bowl matchup is about the worst case scenario

You forgot to mention refusing to develop BH against weaker opponents and expecting him to light it up against stronger competition when the running game was shut down.
It's not all Brandon Harris.
The OL wasn't protecting well during the losing streak. Against Arkansas, it was really bad. A passing game must be developed in all 3 areas (QB, OL, and WR)
LSU had some pretty public issues during the spring with accuracy from the QB. The coaches probably saw what most didn't during practice that the OL was going to have problems protecting the QB. And, of course Harris was a work in progress heading into the year.
They chose to play to their strengths at the cost of developing the passing game. Personally, I think they went way too far in that regard. But, remember, it got us to 7-0. If we had lost a game early by taking more risk in the passing game, that also would not have been optimal.
In the end, our passing game and defense wasn't strong enough to be a contender this year.

My concern is that coming off of a bowl win where we rushed for 350 yards is going to assure the coaches that our current philosophy works and we will place less emphasis on becoming more balanced.
I've been saying over and over, Miles has an offense that will beat 9 teams on his schedule every year. Even as poorly coached as we look, it still wins 9 games. And some years it all comes together and we win more, lately not as often. Miles isn't going to change from that.

I am right there with you.

So let me guess: you want LSU to abandon the run against a team with a crappy run defense and throw the ball all over the yard?
You want Miles to shelve the best running back in LSU history so you can see "offensive adjustments"?
You want LSU to throw a lot of passes but lose the game?
You want LSU to become the Saints?

You are the most obtuse poster on this whole site, and that is saying a LOT. You have some stout competition in this very thread.
Way to completely and totally miss the entire point of the OP.
Remember everyone, Gray Tiger is the idiot who tried to assert that everybody in the stadium cheering for Miles after the A&M game wanted him to keep his job.

if this is the best way to beat an opponent...why the hell wouldn't you do it?

Oh come on, you have been "cynical and bitter" for yrs.
Isnt it bout time you took responsibility for your own emotional reactions.

Well, seeing that JJ was the starter going into the year, came in when Lee struggled against Bama, and finished leading us to the national title game, I'd say a coach that knew his personnel.
JJ SUCKED!!! Tyrann Mathieu is the one who put the team on his back and carried it to the NC game.
Honey Badger.

That doesn't change the fact that doing so and having success could dissuade Miles from thinking that the offense needs to change.
You need to realize that you have absolutely no control over this. Once you come to this realization,
You will see this in a whole new light.
I was disappointed Jimbo didn't come, but I think it's this type of thinking that is wrong with TE anti- Miles camp.
He's either going to fix it ya'll or he's not.

Hey - It's all about going to tier 2 bowls after being #2 @ the beginning of November. We are on the down hill slide to........ need to make a Damn change!!

We are all assuming we will be able to run at will on TT. We have seen that if a team sells all out they can at least slow down the running attack.. If I'm TT I make us throw the ball just to see if we can.
