No. I see it at the games too. I understand the expectations, I'm right there too. That being said, when I hear people screaming how they wish the coach would die, that's embarrassing.

Obviously not here, so I'd have no way of knowing that. My frame of measurement is only four or five months, counting the period when I read the board regularly but hadn't yet signed up.
During that time, I've seen the prevailing attitude here make a dramatic shift away from positivity and optimism and toward toxic negativity and outright hostility towards certain individuals.
I'll take your word for it that this place has always been this volatile and bipolar.

Well Les is the HC of football and Joe runs the entire athletic department....
But I agree with the op to an extent. The board is miserable and many should prob take a step back and relax. But let's not pretend the negative energy isn't warranted.
It's just easy to blame people for being negative instead of focusing on why they are being negative.

Just compare it to other teams boards...they can actually have intellectual conversations and debate about their team...there is very little of that here anymore...
All you get is the childish name calling, the crazy, negative miles bashing and bitching about fans leaving early or traffic...
I come here about 25% of the time I use to a year ago.
The lack of perspective is what drives me from reading this place...Les is a terrible coach, the state recruits itself, anything positive is not his doing and he is blamed for everything that happens regardless (he fumbled twice this week)...the same narrative is brought up regardless of the stats/facts...it's very tiresome.

The other team boards have about 1/10 of the posters the tiger rant has. Many boards go whole days without a new post during the offseason.
