Oh I was thinking of 2007. I forgot we wore it in 2009 as well. So OP I think you're right. State probably makes it 3 games in a row.

It's kind of funny when they do. Don't they normally wear dark colors for home jerseys? Which means by making us change it up and wear purple they have to change it up and wear a different jersey also?

I normally hate the purple jerseys, since I was a student during the days when the NCAA FORCED us to wear purple at home, against our will.
But... in cases like this where the opponent tries to be pissy and thinks they're screwing us, I love to see us come out in purple and destroy.
Also, it gives some color-variety to the season's highlight reels.
I want to see the Tigers dunk a purple jersey in a bucket of gasoline and stuff it down MSU's throat... then toss them a lit zippo.

Concur. Wearing the whites 10 games a year gets old, especially when the purple looks better. I'd prefer purple at home again, w/ maybe one game a year designated as the "gold jersey game"
