Money isn’t an issue at all. This NIL nonsense Woody started is complete BS. Kiffin should’ve proven that but propaganda has a way of taking root in some people for whatever reason. They don’t understand NIL so they come to these conclusions.

This isn’t a hard concept. We can fire MM and play pretend search until 4/1 or NC state doesn’t want to be ole miss so they take the reduced buyout ahead of time so every good coach isn’t off the market. They will be shopping from the mid major bin.

I’m all for shite canning MM but LSU isn’t dropping $15-17 million in buyouts and coaches salary for MBB. Other candidates out there that won’t cost $9-10 million to get here.

Feels like it’s a Wade or McLoser situation. Otherwise MM would have been fired the day after the Kentucky loss.
There was really no advantage to waiting since coaches are currently taking new jobs. Unless we think we would wait until Monday to let coaches lose in the tourny. It didn’t seem to be a distraction for anyone else though.
