Personally, i will never go to a lsu football game again or watch, until they flood the airways with apologies to the fans and get rid of of alexander.

We went from one heartbeat winning to united and losing.

I watched. No blm, no kneeling. One message about tigers united against racism. Nothing about really systemic racism. Just a general support of black athletes and stop racism.
Support for black athletes? No concern for athletes of any other race? No acknowledgement that the only reason most of these black athletes even sniff a college campus is because they are athletic freaks?
Oh FFS. There is no goddamn racism to speak of unless you want to count the lower scores black people need to get into schools, the diversity quotas that give unqualified black people jobs over others, the thousands of government grants available only to non-whites, and terrible behavior being excused due to their skin color.
People for the most part are treated by how they act. Even pretending that racism against blacks is a problem in modern America contributes to the lies and division. The biggest problem for black people is themselves. Might as well be united against alien abductions since that occurs as frequently as blacks being kept down by racism. A smart, hard-working black person can punch his/her own ticket in corporate America. They are vastly overrepresented in my company. They even have special programs for minorities interested in moving up in the company. No such program exists for white people.
These people are paid to entertain, nothing more. We don't need any message from them. They can say all they want on their free time. Keep it off the game broadcast.

Why stop there? What about LGBT? How about putting gender neutral bathrooms at tiger stadium? What’s LSU stance on capital punishment? Or abortion? Or legalized drugs?
I mean if LSU wants to play politics, I think it’s fair that the public ask their stance on other controversial issues.

I gave up my season tickets after 19 seasons. Broke my heart, but I just could not support any of it any more.
Not saying anyone else needs to feel the same way or act in any way, just that for me it was the only option.

I am calling this the curse of Troy Middleton
LSU beat by his Alma mater
Sweet Justice
I look forward to seeing how the curse manifests itself
Put his name back on the Library or the curse will continue

Why are we taking out our anger on these guys who all have their hands tied behind their backs from politicians and idiots who don’t even like sports? I’m a big Trump supporter and a big LSU fan, but it’s too hard for me to not watch LSU football. Saints and pro sports are different because they’re fully embracing all this shite, and I can live without watching those millionaires play a game.
But why are we boycotting a team that we all really really like? Shouldn’t we be boycotting and fighting the damn politicians who are filling people’s heads with all of this nonsense? Shouldn’t we fight the problem head on instead of fighting them indirectly, which hurts our own team and university, which a lot of us have spent and invested a ton of money on?

Because they made it very clear they don’t really like us.
At this point I hope LSU becomes an HBCU.

Didn't watch. May do when the game gets non-political. They can make Tiger Stadium into mega ice hockey field for all I care.

It would have been for me too, until this.
Tiger Stadium lit up in George Floyd's high school colors. Remember when LSU did that a few years ago when those three LEOs were murdered? Me either...
Throw in this...
Our commitment to Black Lives Matter

The UGA game, from what I saw on TV, wasn't nearly as woke as some of the other broadcasts. There was brief get together of both teams with something about united or equality or something on their shirts, then that seemed to be it.
I watched the AU/Kentucky game on the SECN and I was fully prepared to cut it off as soon as the political lectures started. I would have had no difficulty whatsoever in doing so.
Thankfully, it was free of partisan political posturing by the broadcast crew. It was a welcome respite from the constant drum-beat of woke politics promulgated by most MSM outlets these days.
As to the UGA/Arky pregame display, it was a wholly non partisan (i.e. generic) call for unity. I posted these comments in another thread:

....College Football is one of the few remaining cultural events that unites people of all political persuasions, class, age, sex, race, etc.. We should not allow partisan political operatives in the media industrial complex to destroy this common bond that unites us.
With that said, I have absolutely no problem with a politically neutral display of unity demonstrated by both Arkansas and Georgia today. Both teams and coaching staffs met midfield before kickoff wearing black shirts emblazoned with white lettering that says “Together: It Just Means More.”
That is a message we all can support. I hope this is a sign that the more partisan political posturing we have seen in pro-sports does not infect the college game.

They're not going apologize or "take it back," you cant unring that bell. It's beyond disappointing for the university to publicly support a Marxist based organization. It's a slap in the face to every graduate, especially the thousands and thousands of ex-Tigers who fought and died for this country. I think most of us here understand now, that the more they force engagement with the intersectional flow-chart, the more it causes divisiveness, it's the antithesis of inclusion.
I would hope that all of this nonsense really hits them in the pocketbook, and hits them hard. I doubt they will admit it or even acknowledge it, but I would be in favor of taking the university (all the universities TBH) and their respective athletic departments back down to formula. And if that means the level of competition is horrendous, and we all suck for the next few years, then so be it.
I've made a commitment to staying away for this season, and I'll keep that commitment. I dont know exactly what will get me back in. Maybe its just time, maybe if this all dies down, and it's not shoved in our face at every turn. Perhaps if I feel like I can watch sports again without the commentary or the kneeling or the disrespect I'll return. Maybe it'll take a statement from the universities declaring neutrality, that theyve made a commitment to NOT say anything in either direction.
I dont know exactly. I want to be a fan again, I want to be excited again to watch football on Saturdays. But for now, I cant in good conscious support them, or any organized sports. No clicks, no watching, no showing of support.

LSU chose BLM and leftist politics over their fan base and supporters. I won’t go back. I was a 20+ year season ticket holder in multiple sports.
Frick them and the Leftist they ride with.

Exactly. Much like Drew Brees wearing that tape with Jacob Blake's name on it, there are some things which will not be forgotten, and all the walking back and pretending it didn't happen will not appease some. I have a long memory...
Now, all I see on those screens is that BLM message instead of this.
Simply NOT continuing to do it AS MUCH from here on out is not the same thing as having never done any of it. Not to me at least.
