In the South, College Football is one of the few remaining cultural events that unites people of all political persuasions, class, age, sex, race, etc.. We should not allow partisan political operatives in the media industrial complex to destroy this common bond that unites us.

With that said, I have absolutely no problem with a politically neutral display of unity demonstrated by both Arkansas and Georgia today. Both teams and coaching staffs met midfield before kickoff wearing black shirts emblazoned with white lettering that says “Together: It Just Means More.”

That is a message we all can support. I hope this is a sign that the more partisan political posturing we have seen in pro-sports does not infect the college game.

You are correct how in the south, nothing brings everyone together like college football.

It seems like the NCAAF boycott couldn’t survive SEC opening weekend.

I can support true compromise.

Sounds like they tried to meet in the middle.

Didn’t see it because I’m not watching. I don’t want to see anything other than the football game. That’s what gives us unity. This false sjw narrative they are pushing is what has divided us and ruined sports.

And then they filed all the whites out and made them clean feet.

I watched the Auburn/Kentucky game on the SECN and FWIW there was no political commentary from the announcers in that game. That was a wise decision by the broadcast crew.

I hope that is a good sign for future Auburn games if I should watch as I will cut it off as soon as it gets political. Other than the goofy masking on the sidelines, it was a welcome relief from the constant media barrage of social justice nonsense.

Isn't it amazing how well we all get along when people aren't telling us how different we are?

Herbstreit volunteered to swallow the fetid foot water from the cleaning bowl. Because he is a giver.

Historically this was not only in the South. College football does take place across our great country. At least it used to.

You got that right. Look at the Iron Bowl.

Despite being billed as a rivalry that divided the State, in truth it brought all Alabamians together in a shared communal experience regardless of sex, age, race, class, religion or sexual orientation. It was a fierce rivalry that all Alabamians took pride in — something unique and special that reflected positively on the entire State.

Yet progs can have none of that: if any cultural experience does not promote the prog agenda, it must be transformed or destroyed. Progs destroy everything they can control.
