There were 3 seconds left in 2009 Ole Miss game.

Booth review should have changed the game clock from 1 second to 3 seconds. Spike and a field goal is all she wrote.

Exactly. I can live with the call in that game if I didn't see them reviewing it every game since. Reminds me of the Auburn 04 call I think. The only time they make that call was to give Auburn another chance at a game winning FG.

Umm... we wouldn't get the ball snapped and spiked with 3 seconds left. Sorry. They simply weren't ready and JJ delayed the snap. It should've been at 2 seconds, I'll give you that though.

Yea you can snap it and spike it in 3 seconds... the average play only lasts 4

I'm still screaming about the same exact thing over a year later. No doubt, they should have put time back on the clock. But it was six seconds. When Tolliver hit the ground, the clock was at :06. First down - clock should stop. The official waited until he got to the point where he marked the ball before he waved his hands to stop the clock. I was sitting right there behind it in the endzone watching the whole thing in what seemed like slow motion.
IT SUCKED!
Then two weeks later you see them automatically review it in the Texas Nebraska game. We would have been better off if JJ would have just stood there and let the time run out.

Everyone's frustration lies in the fact that multiple end of game plays have been reviewed to determine how much time should be on the clock. Thus, giving LSU ample time to have its FG unit in place.

hmm yeah just watched and it probably should have been blown dead with 3 seconds left. We obviously weren't prepared for anything anyway though... And a year later we still hadn't learned our lesson obviously...

You're "misremembering." There were 9 secs left after LSU called its last timeout after 3rd down. I don't think it's humanly possible to throw a ball 45 yards downfield in 3 secs.

toliver hit the ground with 3 and possibly 2 left. Its on youtube...

And LSU was lucky to even be in that position. Remember they had to score a TD, recover an onsides kick, and drive again.

"misremembering" I like that. You are correct that is exactly what I was doing. I guess I got it confused with being on the six yard line. There were 3 second left when he hit the ground.

I can't believe people are still talking about this. Move the frick on.

WHO CARES!!!!! IF we wouldn't have waited 20 freakin seconds (or whatever it was)to call a timeout it wouldn't have mattered.

according to the call last night in the tenn game, "they" don't have to be ready. all you have to do is have the center and q.b. ready, snap the ball, and take the five yard penalty and then try the field goal. look for ncaa to change that rule to a 10 second run-off next year.

JJ was spiking the ball as the clock started to roll, so yea we would have had the ball spiked with 2 seconds left on the clock

So, in light of last night's game was Miles (on the field -- and not his denials later) and Jefferson right in trying to spike the ball???

if jj/miles would have known the rules that you could in fact just line up the center and q.b. and snap the ball and not wait for the rest of the offense to get set, take the five yard penalty, and try the fg, then we would have been able to possibly win the game.
