One problem with finding out the truth, is what if it hurts LSU in the process? It could be that Jefferson got paid by a booster and threatened to Lester Earl his way out if not starting by the end of the season? That has always been one of my theories, since last year.

Give me a f*&king break on Lee not wanting to play anymore. A friend of mine was at the Auburn game and said Les walked arm and arm with JJ to the stadium and they were the first two in line. He said Lee was in the back of the line. He said then it was only a matter of time before JJ was starting again.

I've felt this way too, Last year when Lee was official backup QB there were a couple of possessions per game regardless of score when Lee was sent in. Then to go from starter this year to not seeing any playing time even in mop up duty is really unordinary for our two QB system. Also you hear a new rumor weekly, grades, quit team, temper tantrum, mental issues, where there's smoke there's usually fire. Then throw in the isolation from his team mates and the fact that none of them seem to feel he's being mistreated. I mean wouldn't you think that after 5 years he'd have at least one team mate to BS with during the game, a kicker or someone, sheesh.

If it quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it probably is a duck.

Can someone clear something up for me? If a player was inelligible, would he still dress out and stand on the sideline for every game he's rumored to be inelligible?
No. He might be allowed to be on the sidelines with his team mates, but not in full game dress.

There is something missing...
Yes, there is definitely something missing. I make a living picking up on situations where things aren't quite right....And this one is about to drive me crazy.
Jarrett Lee and Les Miles had to have had some kind of a problem. But Miles is a players' coach and I can easily see him not saying anything in order to protect Lee, but I can't see him doing it to the detriment of the team.
Football logic and the flimsy excuses being used are in serious contradiction.
That is why this is such a frustrating and maddening situation for the LSU fans.
But what I really don't get is why NOTHING, NOTHING has surfaced, at least nothing credible.....
Somebody had to see or hear something. It is a testiment to the team concept or a huge coverup.

I would think because they were in the midst of the greatest season ever in LSU football history, and the BCSNC, and it was understood to keep all the team garbage in the locker room.
Now that the season is over, and the seniors have graduated, stay tuned. I would bet there's more to come shortly, especially after the seniors are off campus.

Nah, I can buy someone setting up JJ, no problem there things get vicious
But can't buy the blackmail

Then that was a nice try by a booster, but next time the booster should make sure the kicker has the same color shirt.

Or, if you are a player and you want to keep having a chance to play, you don't blacklist yourself by hanging around with the guy who pissed off the head coach?
Just throwing out alternate possibilities. Everything I've read about Lee does not point to him being a spoiled a**hole who was only in it for himself.
But I do think, somewhere down the line, someone in the know (a player, coach or booster) will let the truth out.

Keiland Williams, but worse. Miles has a bit of history of this kind of behavior.
He clearly favored JJ. Why? Who knows. I frankly don't care any more. I'm just glad its over.

After the supreme a-- whipping we took last night, things may change.

I love hearing LSU fans try and pounder, how is this so? How did we lose? Something is going on here... People i dont think it would have mattered if Lee played. I really dont. Lee has thrown for 1 TD and 7 INTS vs Alabama in his career. What makes you think that Lee could have magically came in and won that game. It wasnt going to happen. Alabama made very few mistakes last night, it would have been tough for any QB.

That only makes me think he didn't want to play even more. Why would you wear a helmet the whole game anyway..unless you were trying to look like you "wanted" to play. And the stretching on the sidelines just adds to the act. He never told the press that he really wants to get back in and play..he just said that he and Jefferson understand each other..that they were both taking snaps in practice..but he and Jefferson stopped talking to each other when the defense went out..he didn't seem interested in what JJ could tell him about what was going on or in giving JJ any advice..I hope I am wrong..not that it is a big deal if he didn't want to play anymore. If I didn't plan on being a professional football player, I wouldn't want to get hurt.

Why do folks need to make everything all or nothing
The thread is about understanding a single decision for a ball game and yes i hope we get the truth that can be confirmed some day.
Reminds me of JFK several somebody's know the truth it is just that simple, nothing more. I want the truth even if it is Sanduskian in nature.
I support Les and the Tigers!
