Exactly!

When we won the natty in '07 or the SEC in '11.

what was our passer rating?
How many points did we give up per game?

You don't remember because no one gives a frick! Just win. We're 4-0. Who cares how it happened.

Miles was fired after starting 7-0 and getting to #1 in the CFB playoff poll. It's still a wait and see game with this team.

'07 took an act of God for LSU to get to the championship game. 2011 was great, but you could see the National Championship result coming from a mile away. Offense was dead and ineffective vs. WKU in the first half. Vs. Arkansas it was dead and ineffective until Mathieu gave LSU a spark. Vs. UGA LSU didn't even get a first down in the entire 1st half. If not for Mathieu and UGA blowing some early chances, LSU may not win that game.

Once LSU got to the championship game everything that you could see coming (on offense) came to a pathetic head vs. Bama.

In 2015 the passing game was average (at best), yet LSU got to #1 before playing Bama. Fornette was a non-factor and LSU went on to lose the next 3 games.

You can be BOTH happy that LSU is 4-0 and concerned that things have to improve in order compete for a title. The first four games have been great. But the best competition still lies ahead.

Did the 07/11 teams play two top ten teams away from home in the first four games? I'll hang up and listen.

So, now we're going to pretend like the 2011 schedule wasn't tough?

Awesome.

I'm ridin'.

If LSU plays GA tough and even beats them, then this team has a chance to knock off bama at home.

It is highly unlikely you will ever see LSU face a more accomplished schedule than the 2011 team.

We beat three BCS bowl winners (none of those games in Death Valley btw), including the "champs" at their house.

Sure, we didn't beat two top 10 in 3 games that year, but we did beat #3, #25, and #16 all on the road in Sept. This team has along way to go before it earns the right to be compared to that team, let alone be called better.

ETA: And the #3 and #16 teams went on to win their conferences and win BCS bowls. We shall see if Miami and Auburn are capable of similar success.

I'm not saying the 11 schedule wasn't tough, just comparing what we've done so far as far as stats are concerned. Played Oregon at Dallas, Miss.St at Starkvegas and West Virginia at Morgantown and Northwestern La. at home. Oregon was ranked #3, Miss. St.#25 and West Virginia #16. Pretty much a push imo. But the 11 team had two qb's that grew up in the system, where this is Burrows first year as a Tiger.
