Its not.
Compare Etlings first year, Metts first year and Burrows first year.
Both Etling and Mett had played started before (Mett JUCO, Etling at Purdue) and had been at LSU a season prior to starting.

I’ve don’t it twice, Etlimgs numbers are better. But that’s just it he split the comparison 3 different ways to avoid any fact that contradicted him. First he said “better” which is 100% subjective and opinion based then he wanted to use the stats to place Burrow over Mett then ran away from the stats so he wouldn’t have to acknowledge Etlings numbers.

Nope.
Look at the stats for each QB in their first season as starter. You can even adjust Etlings for the games he didn't start in 2016.
Burrows 3300 total yards and 23 total TDs were unsurpassed.

You don’t use total yardage to grade a QB cmon. If that were the case all the spread QBs would have an unfair advantage. You don’t penalize a player because of something totally beyond his control. That’s why anytime you read a page or magazine that has leaders in it the QB is rated by passer rating. And Etlings was higher in their first seasons, so was his completion percentage and yards per attempt. Pretty much everything having to do with efficiency Etling was better.

Here's Danny's first year starting statistics

His second, before he was benched.

His third
SEC JR QB 11 160 269 59.5 2123 7.9 7.9 11 5 135.6
Danny had negative rushing yards those three years combined.
Burrows first year starting
SEC JR QB 13 219 379 57.8 2894 7.6 7.9 16 5 133.2
399 rushing yards
The only edge Etling had as a first year starter at LSU was a slight completion pctg and YPA. Burrow had better production.
