Dude. You can extoll his running skills, but JD5’s touch is extremely lacking.

The offense has good skill players but the OL is still a bit of a mess.

I’d like to have a stronger center, but this is one of the best LSU lines I’ve seen in over a half century of watching LSU.

Half century is exaggerating but the OL isn’t the weak link in the offense, it’s the QB.

Howard has touch that JD5 doesn’t have after starting all these years: I have seen it first hand.

I won’t dispute you that Jayden has issues with touch.
I haven’t seen Howard play against SEC defenses, or much in college at all, so I don’t know, but I’ll wait to believe you, if that’s fair.
Look, I get just as frustrating as anyone when Daniels is having trouble, underthrowing, run happy, all that, but he can be electric and seems to buckle down when he needs to. Do I praise him like some others, no, but I still think we’re fortunate to have him.

No, he did have a couple of nice passes, but his touch is wildly inconsistent and if you can’t acknowledge that then you aren’t being intellectually honest.

No more dishonest than saying his play can’t overcome the bad defense.

Maybe it’s the bandwagon fans that showed up in 2019 & expect that every year (hint: Daniels has been pretty damn close to that)

This is so ridiculous. It stopped being close to 2019 as soon as we got our arse kicked by FSU.

Right this poster is an idiot who doesn’t pay attention to facts

We’re down 13-10 at half & then Jayden goes 11/13 with 3 TDs, but *hE cAN’t OvErCoMe iT*

The defense is good enough with the way modern college football is. He can’t lead a team like a great QB can. That’s inarguable at this point.

Who would’ve ever thought. We have a QB that’s currently 6th on the odds to win the heisman and fans are complaining. What a crazy world we live in. Anyone remember those days when a QB didn’t exist at LSU.

You have to remember your audience. There are people on tRant that are extremely sensitive to criticism. I agree with some of what you’re saying, not all, but some. It can be frustrating to watch Daniels at times, but I’m not one of those rantards that thinks our backup is always the best option. If that makes sense.

I’m talking about stats. We will never have another Joe Burrow, but what Jayden has done in his first 4 games is about as close as we will get

Sure if we ignore that fact that he’s done it and is doing it.

I don’t always pull for the back up either, but this QB makes you scratch your head way too often and he’s in his 5th year of starting.

LOL, first rate trolling. You gotta be a little more subtle if you really want to catch your limit.

18 touchdowns by Burrow in the first 4 games is not equivalent to 12 touchdowns. Burrow had the most touchdowns ever and JD doesn't have the most for this season. Say he is doing well, but leave Burrow out of this. Daniels will never accomplish a conference title, National Championship, Heisman, or a first overall draft pick. Moving on.

JD's knock has been consistency, especially with making plays down field and putting the ball in the endzone. He struggled to find the endzone last season vs FSU, Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Texas A&M. He struggled this season against FSU and the first half against Arkansas, which almost cost them. He has really good games and very poor games (the ones listed). Hopefully he will find some consistency for the rest of his 5th year to play in college.
