Shreveport is the armpit of Louisiana. Always has been. Lots if Jesus and tons of cowgirl fans. Might as well be annexed to Texas. On the other hand, there are a ton of P & G fans there. Sounds like you picked the wrong bar.

I think we can all at least agree that delusional ULL fans are waaaaaaay worse than delusional Tech fans

Yeah you just happened to make the worst possible choice. Research helps, fyi.
The only tech fans I know that hate LSU are from out of state.
You've been given many good suggestions. The Great Raft would be my choice, but there are lots of good ones. I also suggest staying away from chain places for the most part. There are some beast hole in the wall and local spots

LA Tech Athletics and LA Tech Sports Properties announced expanded watch party events for Bulldog Football games this fall with locations in Bossier City, Ruston and Shreveport.
The partnership kicks off this Saturday as the Bulldogs face Oklahoma in the season opener. Kickoff time is set for 6 pm, but space is limited to fans are encouraged to arrive early.

Rotolo's in Bossier City and Shreveport will be hosting the Chevyland Away Game Watch Parties for all Bulldog Football road games this fall. They will be showing the contest on six televisions, including an 80-inch high-definition screen. Fans can get their hands on an all-new Bulldog football schedule cup when they order food on game day.

Like you literally went to the only place that would have aired the game. You'll never find a place here where people gather in tech gear, lol.

Tech pretty much is a big Shreveport high school, almost a community college in the sense that a lot of Shreveport students go home every weekend, and in a lot of cases, commute. There ain't much going on in Ruston.

If you observed the folks in the place when you arrived, you should have known you were in the wrong place. Shreveport has tons of LSU fans. You didn't research very well. Your fault. And, geez, what an uneducated overreaction!

And, P.S. There are several boards on TD on which one could ask the best place to watch a game in Shreveport rather than making a weak decision and then whining about it along with making dumb assumptions based on nothing much.

Some other places that had pretty big watch parties last night were Frank's Pizza and Sam's Town.

There are a few Tech fans that I have run into that loathe everything LSU. I usually just chalk it up to penis envy.

I've lived in S'port for 27 years and every Tech fan I know here cheers harder for LSU than for Tech.

Look it's this guy slamming br to be cool.

Br may suck but Shreveport is worse. I spend 1 week a month there for work. I can find stuff to do but it's br light.

every place has it's redeeming qualities man; even shrevesville. give it time. maybe adjust your attitude a bit and look for the good stuff.

first place you may want to start is with the women. damn, they got some fine looking women up there.

I must claim fault for the venue. It was chosen on a whim and I should have asked around. Even though Ive lived in Shreveport forever, its hard to keep up with the hot new spots.

Whiskey Richard is telling the truth about the tech fans vs. LSU on the screen. It was comical and the immediate opposite of anything I was expecting before we walked in there last night.

if you cant find something to do in Shreveport / Bossier then you must be a moron.

I grew up there and I can tell you for a fact that Shreveport is solid LSU territory.

As for Cowboys versus Saints yes. There are a lot of cowboys fans including myself and family but we also pull for the saints.

Shreveport is closer to Dallas than New Orleans

When people ask me where I am from I don't say California I say Bossier City / Shreveport and am damn proud of it.

I love LSU with a passion and have been a tiger fan for 49 years.

Get the hell out if you don't like it there. Life is what you make of it wherever you are.

Move to Coushatta I am sure your dumb arse will fit right in there. There is lots to do.

Lots of folks here get together at houses to grill out, let the kids play..... watch the game.

But if no kids are involved, you can take your pick of a few good bars where lots of people seem to gather. There's some hole in the wall (shitty bars) with some old school committed fans that have a good time.... and of course the fancy ones. Vintage Bar, which is connected to Chianti restaurant is pretty nice and allows for cigars to be smoked inside where Tv's are..... Windrush Grill is also nice to bring the fam. Nice environment, big tv's... upscale restaurant though... not a typical bar and grill.

I've got 2 little ones now.... so, getting together with friends at the house is my best option unless I'm actually going to the game.

Fwiw, this is my second time living in shreveport, some of my family, my best friends and a lot of good people live here. I'm not originally from BR, and I have lived in 4 different states and several cities. I hope things change, but so far most of the local restaurant that have been recommended to me, left a lot to be desired. Superior, Sevendipity, rhino coffee (nice environment) , southern maid, etc. have been underwhelming in the customer service department.

But I have already made several friendships and connections since being here that have outweighed the bad restaurant experiences. Sounds like some of you are overreacting about my overreaction.

But terrible planning on our part
