Scott is a Baton Rouge guy. I think with a good offer we could pull him.

I’m sure our bigger boosters would pony up.

Scott could make LSU great again

Woodward isn’t leaving A&M for LSU. That’s like going from filet mignon to ground beef.

Despite all the crowing and chest beating TAMU does, they are at best 2nd behind Texas. Moving to an undisputed flagship school would a step up.

Woodward is the only name that should be on there and you didn't even mention him.

Woodward makes ENTIRELY too much sense for it to happen with these knuckleheads in charge at LSU

Born and raised in Baton Rouge. LSU graduate. Before getting into college athletics he was a lobbyist in the legislature. Got his start in college athletics at LSU. Very close to NCAA president Mark Emmert

No doubt A&M would make it financially very difficult for him to leave, but ALL roads lead to Baton Rouge and LSU for him.

You gave him a good enough contract he’d come. And that hire would pay dividends to the entire university.

He isn't coming back to BR. He has complete control over the athletic programs. He knows all of the political bullshite that goes on at LSU and the headaches that go with it. A&M also has 10 Billion dollars to fall back on if needed. They could pay Woodward whatever they want to keep him. LSU won't get into a bidding war with them.

Ask yourself this question. Would you want to work for F. King Alexander? A guy that could give two shits about athletic programs.

it's never too early

A competent school has that list ready at all times, just as a competent AD has the list of HC replacements ready at all times.

I imagine even Bama has a list of who would replace Saban.

If for zero other reason, we're talking about a multi-million dollar business, in which the main players are guys usually in their 50's or older. They could fall ill, they could have an auto accident.

Wrong

Historically LSU takes a giant shite on anything A&M has ever done.

LSU is a top 10 football program all time and owns A&m like its a step child.

Scott is a br guy and LSU guy.

why would Woodward want to come from such a resource-rich institution like A&M to a place that doesn't have as many big donors and cannot count on the legislature to properly fund one year to the next. If you don't think this funding issue affects athletics, facilities, and salaries of coaches and staff, you aren't paying attention.

More money at A&M. LSU failed to pony up the $$ for Jimbo

Woodward's latest hire already has A & M under NCAA scrutiny and Peveto in the crosshairs. I'd not be in a rush just yet on Woodward.
