But wait, I thought the coaches knew more than the fans?!?!
How can what Orgeron said be true, because according to tRant, there is no secret playbook and what we saw last night is all the offense will be all year.

Agreed, but you know how it is, everyone's an expert

Holy Three and out . It's happening. It's really happening. Thank you sweet baby Jesus.

Last year we broke out the playbook early and gave film for Bama and Florida. Glad we aren't needlessly showing off to please fans.

There's more to it than that.
Under Cam, as soon as LSU lined up, most of us knew what was coming. Les and Cam knew everyone know, but they stubbornly believed LSU could simply overpower every team on the planet.
With Canada's offense, each formation, shift, personnel grouping has multiple plays that can be run. Thus the defense can't simply go to the hole or drop back in coverage. It forces the defense to hesitate somewhat, which will create space and mismatches.
Also, Canada will use the same play to set up plays later. The deep throw to Chark is a good example. Ran the ball off that formation/motion several times in a row, got that safety cheating up and WHAM.
The negatigers need to chill and enjoy as more of our new offense gets unwrapped week after week.

I agree with what you are saying but we will be needing to mix it up a lot more when we play State much less waiting for Bama. The schedule is about to get real in two weeks.

They absolutely need to clean up the penalties and do better in the red zone, but it was the 1st game with a new OC and very different scheme. It was but no means perfect, but you can see the possibilities and how this offense will work.
Absolutely right! Considering the fact it was our 1st game while it was their 2nd... Also starting new blood on the OLine and the number of true freshman getting significant playing time... it was a very good day for a 1st game...

I believe this as well. At Pitt Canada did not have a great D to support the offense and had talent that was typically below that of his opponents. He would have been required to open up the playbook early and often. That's not the case here. He can tinker and adjust and hold a few plays and formations back. I think we will get a better feel for what the offense has when we play Miss St. They should be improved from last season with Fitzgerald's experience.
