Faulk
Casanova
Reed
Dorsey
Cannon

Any list without Faulk is assinine. Booger McFarland is one name I haven't seen who could be considered honorable mention.

Van Buren must be included in any serious list.

You people laughing at j. Russell have a very short memory... He is the most talented qb LSU has ever had.

I can't tell if you're kidding or not??

Give me Matt Flynn over "Purple Drank" in 2006 as well.

I like this list but I'd have to have Peterson in there so take out McClure.

I don't even count the era before black athletes. That should have an asterisk behind it. Cannon played a bunch of skinny white dudes. No way he is near as good compared to talent of today.

Faulk
JR
Cecil

After that I could insert a dozen more to round out the 5.

Reed
Peterson
Hilliard
Hodson
Dorsey
Booger
Faneca

Glad to see Michael Brooks (and Moonie Winston) getting the nod in some of these lists.
Before his knee injury, Brooks was as dominant as anybody within memory.
I note the absence of both R. Hobley and D. Hookifin.

I'm a bit dubious of the assertion that four of the top five players in LSU's 120 year history all played within the last twelve seasons.
