In 1908, the LSU Tiger went 10-0 and were recognized as the co-champions alongside UPenn.
We outscored opponents by a total of 442-11.
It’s actually LSU that doesn’t recognized the national championship.
Let’s fricking do it:
08
58
03
07
19

this smells of weakness

I’ve always wondered why we don’t recognize it.

Should’ve been done a long time ago. At this point, it just looks silly to claim it.

the 1908 is far more legit than some claimed by Alabama...
but we all know if the Little Sisters of the Poor did a national championship, Bama would claim it!!!!

I hv been saying this for awhile now. The NCAA recognizes it so what is LSU doing?

Sounds good....you know the Alabama Elephants would for sure

NC’s prior to 1936 claimed:
Alabama 3
USC 2
MICHIGAN 7
Notre Dame 8
And there is a lot more teams as well.
So if these teams claim NC ‘s prior to 1936 why do not LSU when it is again recognized .

I agree, the NCAA recognizes it, so should we, and now is the right time to do it.

Maybe in some parts we catch a little flack from it for a little bit. But in the long run, no one will remember that we posthumously claimed it. So... there is no reason to not do it. it's a legitimate claim

To put this in perspective,
Michigan claims both the 1903, and 1904 national titles where they were undefeated, with only the NCF recognizing them as national champs.
THIS IS THE SAME THING LSU has going for it in 1908. From what I understand, the NCF, national championship foundation is considered the legit source.
