How is it that teams like; Clemson, Alabama, and Oklahoma get in every year? And teams like Ohio State are in the conversation? These teams have comparable talent to LSU. Our recruiting rankings are better than Clemson and Oklahoma, yet they are in and we are not.

This moving goalposts and excuses bullshite needs to stop. I’ll never root against LSU and I hope O can be the guy to bring us back into the championship conversation, but he needs to get it done. I don’t want to hear any of this pussyfoot “but this team is young” crap anymore. Dabo, Saban, Meyer and others get it done year in and out despite who is one the roster. O needs to get it done. No excuse for LSU to be left out in the cold. We are an elite program, and we used to know that. Now our fans act like we don’t deserve to get in and have a “wait til next year” mentality.

Dude we don't even know what OC we'll have next season.

Just go ahead, settle in and lower those expectations. You'll feel better.

Also the “all we need is a game manager at qb to compete for NCs” crowd

Etling stats were exactly that this year and still managed to lose 3 games.

So by your logic, an LSU fan is never able to think, "hey, we look strong this season," or "hey, this team looks like it's more set up for next year than this year." All seasons must be the same!!

You are right! We need to get in by 2019 or O needs to get out. Period.

Well, Etling didn't manage to play well against Troy and Bama.

They don't have a rougarou mascot as HC or lose to Troy.

Dude it was year fricking one with an entirely new offense in place. You think it's realistic to be in the playoffs this year?

Hello, Derek

How clever.

Actually if you go through my post history you will see i was 100% against the O hire. I am still not sold on him. However, I am happy we are on the right track after a bumpy start. You're the one setting unrealistic expectations for any coach in year one. If Jimbo or Herman or any other big name coach we wanted last year was here and went 10-3 you would be praising them and saying how we're on the right track.

The fact of the matter is this is just another let's bitch we don't have Jimbo and shite on O thread. I am just tired of them. It is what it is.

Will O get us there? I don't know. Hopefully so, but expecting it to happen in year one with a brand new offensive scheme in place is ridiculous. I obviously want to see more improvement next year.

PS i am fully aware we lost to Troy. I blame O for that. I also give him credit for recouping and finishing strong by beating Auburn and almost beating Bama. Something all of you whiners can't seem to do. Everything bad that happens is O's fault and everything good that happens is in spite of O, according to yall.

Bama makes no quarterback excuses. Plug n play. McElroy. Natty. Mccarron. NAtties. Syms. Playoffs. Coker. Natty. Hurts. Playoffs.

That’s all their starters back to 2009. Can we say that?

The only way to beat Bama and be relevant again is to put together 4 #1 recruiting classes in a row. Bama has 6 in a row. Stop settling for mediocre high school talent in hopes of “coaching them up”! The Saban formula is simple, get the best, be the best.

You have what we call a "one track mind".

I don't think I've read one of your posts that didn't include "moving goalposts". Shut up.

They don't have to make excuses because they actually develop QBs there. For some reason LSU can't seem to do that.
