I seriously hope you're right.

But, I just don't see it. He's made the same mental errors all year long.

I didn't mean for the string to just be about his CapOne bowl performance.

For those defending him, how many times late in a game (Bama, P$U, Old Piss) did you think, "We have a chance ... but ....."

Commentators are loathe to criticize individual players but even they have opined on "hiding" your weak link (i.e., Jefferson). I've never heard a commentator do that before, but I agreed with Danielson every time he said it.

New bomb... you don't know what your talking about. No sophomore QB has won an SEC title in the past 10 years. Jefferson's played did improve as the year went on. He especially felt the Penn state pressure and moved around better in the pocket and escaping.
Here are the facts.
*Our oline & OL coach sucked this year
*He's had no QB coach to help adjust during games the past 2 years.
* Crowton has consitantly had horrible play selection not playing to Jefferson's strength's
All of that and the kid is 10-5 as a starter. Only 20 years old.

I'd rather be running Navy's triple option with Shepard (even letting him throw the ball from time to time) than watching JJ run out onto the field. I cringe when I see him back in the pocket. I've been watching LSU football for 35 years and I've never cringed like I do when I see JJ in the pocket.

So you are cool bringing shep in to be the qb, because he can run the option, but a not so great arm. That's cool with you? Yeah, I hope you get the job next year man.

It's pretty clear you're dumb as frick. Can you please list the SEC defenses you were dissecting at 19 years old please?

Another way you get that many 3 and outs with a 62% completion rating is he took a few too many sacks instead of throwing picks.
Also WE CANT POUND THE ROCK!! OLine isn't powerful anymore. LSU could not run consistantly when we had to.

How the f'ck do you know this?

Look, I'm just as down on Crowton as JJ. I can't understand why RS hasn't thrown a single ball all year long. I've seen his high school film -- the kid has a good arm. Why Crowton hasn't let the kid thrown one ball is just as big of a mystery to me as why Crowton thinks JJ has the talent to be a starting SEC QB.

I don't know about that. It's the whole cause-effect problem.

Is the fact that we haven't been able to run effectively due to

A) the fact that JJ is a horrible QB and teams put 8 in the box to stop the run, while daring LSU to put the ball in air,

OR,

B) that running game and O-Line are both bad?

Obviously, I lean heavily towards A.

So why the frick are you bitching about Jefferson then?

eta: Nice edit king douche. Do you really think we couldn't run the ball all year because of Jefferson? Can Jefferson stop the d-line from pushing our o-line 4yds into the backfield? Can he keep the coaches from calling such boneheaded plays?

JJ is the least of our problems on Offense.

1. Crowton
2. Stud
3. Blocking
4. Running
5. THEN JJ

His stats were fine considering what he was working with. He makes mental errors just like you'd expect a soph to do. He's gotten better in spite of it all.

You fix those other four and JJ is gonna look like the second coming of Christ.

This.

It's the reason McElroy has looked like he has. Bama can pin their ears back and run the ball right over everyone. It's a lot easier to be a QB of a team like that.

Stats? As we hear every week during every game, stats are for losers.

When a commentator like Danielson actually says that LSU has to figure out a way to "hide" its QB, something is wrong. I've watched Danielson do many games, and I've never heard him say anything like that about any other player. And, unfortunately, he's right on with this one.

I'd like to know what offensive line you've been watching that would indicate to you running the triple option offense with Shepard would be even remotely successful.

Shep didn't improve and neither did JL. The problem is coaching. If Crowton and Stud are not fired and Miles doesn't get a QB coach in here, then I just see this getting worse. Like I told someone else, all we need is $200 each from 92000 fans and we have the $18.75 million buyout covered. I am not a ticketholder, but I would but up $200 to get rid of Miles, especially if no further changes are made on the offense side.

Nobody says this. Hell, stats have been our biggest enemy this year. We're always on the wrong side of them.

When did he say this? I don't remember it.
