No excuses got whooped first half. Glad to see the adjustments & chance to win it second half. The tech reality check last week followed by this high level SEC matchup/environment, I think we have seen what’s needed to lock in & make a playoff run.

If Leavitt can't fix his accuracy issues, this team isn't sniffing the playoffs.
That and Baker has to stop being so conservative on defense when facing better competition. He's the majority reason for the loss last night.

Agreed..think he’s rushing his reads a lot too.
Defense wise agree. The aggressive D that came out second half should be the strategy rest of season. I’d like to see if off the rip next week against a just as mobile QB

1. Leavitt accuracy issues
2. Lack of a WR1
3. Baker's scheme against good opponents
Those are the glaring issues that stood out to me last night.
I think #1 is fixable as Leavitt plays some more games but the other 2 aren't. Baker is who he is and he'll put out an elite D against lesser teams, but he isn't going to win us games against elite offenses.
We'll need to outscore people and #1 and #2 above don't lend to that.
This team is who we thought they were in pre-season, a fringe playoff team. The Clemson game baited everyone into thinking this was a Championship type team but I don't think they are.

Regarding Baker’s defense. I’ll wait for next week’s performance to provide additional feedback. Kirby’s defense had similar issues against Chambliss. Also, losing Spears was a big deal. it appears Jhase Thomas played better in the nickel than Jimcoly
