The SEC is doing this because they know what Kiffin at LSU means

They know the sleeping giant is now awake. They hate it.
If Stoops did this at Kentucky and was consistently going 7-5, they would not care and suspending him wouldn’t have been a thought to be had.
They will do everything in their power to kill what Kiffin is doing at LSU. But if you think suspending him will derail anything, it won’t. It’ll just make everything Kiffin has already preached to his team even louder. It’s LSU vs everyone. I’d bet my house they run the table while he’s out, if it got to that point.
They are already mad he won like he did Saturday, now they are whining about the pro players comment.

Meh. I think you're right to an extent. But we do kind of live in an echo chamber here in Louisiana. Of course, it feels like we're the center of the universe.

These recruits and transfer players want to play for this kind of brand. Its why Miami has jumped back up lately also. If everyone is paying they want to feel like a celebrity. You get more of that here than even say austin. If course thats a much bigger city

Well Kiffin was at Ole Piss and they didn't do this.
There is more to it. Kiffin is a threat to the status quo of the SEC. That Status is the hierarchy of Alabama-Georgia at the top of the food chain.

LSU has arguably some of the top coaches in the game in the biggest four sports. They are butt hurt for some reason that the evidence hasn’t shown
