The only thing that changed were the addition of 2 screens outside of the original large screen. Last year, the large screen had the same exact Coke and whatever on each side of it, and the two spaces now occupied by non changed digital screens was back lit canvas screens.
So they replaced 2 fluorescent bulb, backlit canvas billboards with 2 additional HD panels with ads that never change.
If the damned ads on the new addition HD panels don't change, save the freaking required ad dollars and dont put HD panels there. Leave them as freaking back lit canvas ads that dont change.
Whats a freaking shame is the giant coke and whatever else on each side of the original HD screen, which only changes during the pregame. THAT is the embarrasment. The addition of 2 most assuredly expensive HD panels to display ads to pay for said panels is rediculous. I'd have rather spent the extra money to remove the damn coke ads on the main screen.

What I don't understand is why I have to see two ads for the same companies up there. That is the part that is stupid to me.

The person in charge of this is an abject failure at marketing.
When you have an exclusive product, you keep it exclusive.
He could have charged more to fewer clients and they would've paid it to keep their message prominent.
Instead, they chose the easy way out; just shotgun it.

I'm assuming you're talking about the "new" panels outside of the main panel. This is exactly my point, if they never change, why did they bother to replace static panels with a digital one, or why add them in the first place if they're redundant to the ones already occupying the left and right side of the main screen?

This is classic LSU bullshite. Just pathetic from our AD dept and always makes our brand and overall look of the program seem like some 2 bit POS.

This is not true. The side panels have been there since the scoreboard was redone a few years back.

Yes, but they were back lit signs (or so they appeared to me from my section). Now it appears they are HD screens with static ads, in addition to the static ads on the sides of the main screen and the additional back lit signs outside of all of this.

I sit in the north endzone. I have near perfect vision and find the pertinent info hard to figure out with all the overkill on the ads.
At first glance it looked like the TOL was part of the score (not my impression but the guy next to me)
